Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, storage media, and systems for generation, transmission, and reception of a message A (MsgA) with respect to a two-step random access channel (RACH) procedure in new radio (NR) networks and/or communications. Various embodiments describe how to generate the MsgA that includes a physical random access channel (PRACH) occasion and a MsgA physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource. Certain association, rules, and/or correlation may apply herein. Further, corresponding demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence generation is illustrated in accordance with various embodiments. Abstract: Systems and methods for downlink transmission using a wideband unlicensed band carrier in 5G networks are described. The gNB determines, based on LBT, which LBT subchannel(s) in a BWP are available during a COT. The gNB transmits an indication of the available subchannels in DCI format 2_0 of a GC-PDCCH of one of the available subchannels and subsequently transmits a PDSCH using the available subchannel(s). The gNB may configure multiple opportunities during the COT and transmit the GC-PDCCH after the initial opportunity. The PDSCH is transmitted on all available subchannels during the COT and, during an initial portion of the COT, may transmit the PDSCH by puncturing symbols of the unavailable subchannels. The indication may include a bitmap of available subchannels or if the LBT outcome is not available, may indicate all or none of the subchannels or available or that the outcome is not available.

Abstract: The present disclosure is related to listen-before-talk (LBT) operations for multiple consecutive physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions scheduled by a single downlink control information (DCI) or multiple DCIs. In a fifth generation (5G)/new radio (NR) system operating in an unlicensed spectrum, when multiple physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions are scheduled (e.g., by one or more DCIs), and if LBT operation has failed before the start of a first PUSCH transmission of the multiple PUSCH transmissions, an LBT type and cyclic prefix (CP) extension for a subsequent PUSCH transmission of the multiple PUSCH transmissions is determined. In some examples, the multiple PUSCH transmissions are consecutive PUSCH transmission. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Abstract: An apparatus for a UE includes processing circuitry coupled to memory. To configure the UE for shared spectrum channel access in a 5G-NR system, the processing circuitry is to decode a synchronization signal (SS)/physical broadcast channel (PBCH) block (SSB) to obtain a master information block (MIB). System information block 1 (SIB1) configuration information is determined using the MIB. The SIB1 configuration information is used to configure a Type 0 PDCCH common search space (CSS) set (CORESET). The processing circuitry is to monitor for a PDCCH in the Type 0 PDCCH CSS set over slots that include Type 0 PDCCH monitoring occasions. At least one of the slots includes the SSB and the CORESET multiplexed according to multiplexing pattern 1. The PDCCH is detected in at least one of the Type 0 PDCCH monitoring occasions. A SIB1 is decoded using downlink control information (DCI) received via the detected PDCCH.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide techniques for indication of a system frame number (SFN) in and/or associated with a random access response (RAR) for a random access procedure. A UE may transmit a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble in a PRACH occasion (e.g., in a Msg1 or MsgA) and monitor for a message (e.g., Msg2 or MsgB) in a RAR window. The RAR window may be greater than one frame. The Msg2 or MsgB (e.g., a downlink control information (DCI) and/or a medium access control (MAC) RAR) may indicate the SFN associated with the RACH occasion. The UE may determine whether the message is for the UE or another UE based on the SFN. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
