摘要: A drive mechanism suitable for use in drug delivery devices is disclosed. The drive mechanism may be used with injector-type drug delivery devices, such as those permitting a user to set the delivery dose. The drive mechanism may include a housing, a dose dial sleeve having a helical thread of a first lead, and a two-part piston rod. The two-part piston rod may include an outer part having a helical thread of a second lead and an inner part having a helical thread of a third lead. In such an embodiment, the first lead of the thread of the dose dial sleeve may be equal to the sum of the second lead of the thread of the outer part of the piston rod and the third lead of the thread of the inner part of the piston rod.

摘要: A sensor kit comprising a sensor for detecting an analyte, a sensor housing and a calibration chamber. The calibration chamber comprises a first compartment containing a first calibration solution and a second compartment containing a source of the analyte to be detected. A dividing material is located between the first and second compartments enabling them to be mixed on breakage or removal of the dividing material. Further compartment(s) containing further source(s) of the analyte may optionally be provided. Calibration can carried out by (a) taking a reading of the analyte concentration of the first calibration solution, (b) mixing the contents of the first and second compartments by breaking or removing the dividing material, and (c) taking a reading of the analyte concentration of the resulting mixture. Steps (b) and (c) can be repeated for further compartment(s) to provide further reading(s) if desired.

摘要: Supplementary data associated with a broadcast transmission (5, 26) is made available to the viewer by identifying the content currently being received at a user terminal (2). The user generates a request for data which includes the identity of the broadcast content. This request is transmitted from the user terminal (2) to a content provision platform (4). The content provision platform retrieves supplementary data associated with the identified broadcast content and delivers the supplementary data to a predetermined return address (9).

摘要: A method of fractionating biomass, by permeability conditioning biomass suspended in a pH adjusted solution of at least one water-based polar solvent to form a conditioned biomass, intimately contacting the pH adjusted solution with at least one non-polar solvent, partitioning to obtain an non-polar solvent solution and a polar biomass solution, and recovering cell and cell derived products from the non-polar solvent solution and polar biomass solution. Products recovered from the above method. A method of operating a renewable and sustainable plant for growing and processing algae.
