    摘要: Trivalent chromium is electrodeposited from an aqueous bath in which are dissolved very small proportions of compounds of classes (I) compounds containing ##STR1## group, preferably a thiocyanate or a compound of formula X--CSNR where X is R, S or, NR.sub.2 or is --CSNR.sub.2 joined by --S-- or --S--S-- and R is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or aromatic: (II) compounds of formula (X)--SO.sub.2 --(Y) in which X is (a) a saturated or unsaturated two or three carbon atom alpiphatic group terminating in a mercapto group or (b) the disulphide corresponding thereto, of formula Y--(SO.sub.2)--X--S--S--X(SO.sub.2)--Y or (c) single unsubstituted benzene ring; and Y is --ONa, --OH, --NH.sub.2 or when X is a single unsubstituted benzene ring, a direct --NH-- linkage or indirect --NH--CO-linkage to the ortho position thereof, (III) compounds of formula HOOC --(CH.sub.2).sub.n --S.sub.m (CH.sub.2)COOH where n or m is 1 or 2; (IV) o-mercaptobenzoic acid and (V) sodium salts of sulphur, selenium and tellurium.

The light transmissive hermetic substrates form a barrier that protects the wavelength conversion layer from exposure to external environmental conditions. In some approaches, the wavelength conversion component further includes a sealant material disposed around an outer edge of the sandwich structure, where the sealant material hermetically seals an outer edge wavelength conversion layer.

    摘要: A polarization detection system structured for optical read-out of disc-shaped optical data/information storage and retrieval media with surfaces comprised of pits or marks configured as multilevel oriented nano-structures (ONS) with varying pit or mark orientations and widths. The polarization detection system comprises: an optical beam source; a stage for mounting and rotating an optical disc medium about a central axis; at least one photodetector; a beam splitter positioned in an optical path between the source and stage, for directing an incident beam from the source onto an optical disc mounted on the stage and a return beam from the disc onto the photodetector; and an optical polarizer positioned in an optical path between the beam splitter and the at least one photodetector, for detection and analysis of changes in polarization of the return beam effected by variation of the orientation of the walls and/or widths of the pits or marks of the disc.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention generally provide a light source substrate processing system. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a spindle motor coupled to a substrate support member. A light source assembly is supported above a substrate disposed on the substrate support member. In another embodiment, the light source assembly includes a movable optical assembly disposed between a pair of light sources and the substrate support member to focus a pair of light beams onto a portion of the substrate surface. Each of the light beams has a different wavelength. The optical assembly includes a plurality of lenses configured to adjust the focal plane of each light beam such that their focal points about converge on a substrate surface location. The focal points of the two light beams about coincide with various movements of at least a portion of the optical assembly. In one embodiment of the present invention, a focus correction assembly is configured to adjust the focal plane of at least one of the light beams in response to temperature fluctuations to maintain the focal points of the two light beams within a desired range of focal points disposed relative a surface of a substrate being processed.
