摘要: A coated piston ring for a piston is provided. The piston ring includes a running surface, a flank surface, and a transition surface therebetween. The transition surface curves or extends at an angle between the running surface and the flank surface. A running layer is disposed over the running surface and over at least a portion of the transition surface. A flank layer is disposed over the flank surface and over at least a portion of the transition surface. The running layer is applied by physical vapor deposition, and the running layer is applied by galvanic deposition. The running layer is formed of chromium nitride, and the flank layer is formed of chromium. A portion of the flank layer overlaps and is disposed outward of a portion of the running layer. During operation of the piston, the overlapping portion is spaced from both the piston and the cylinder.

摘要: A manufacturing method of copper foil and circuit board assembly for high frequency transmission are provided. Firstly, a raw copper foil having a predetermined surface is produced by an electrolyzing process. Subsequently, a roughened layer including a plurality of copper particles is formed on the predetermined surface by an arsenic-free electrolytic roughening treatment and an arsenic-free electrolytic surface protection treatment. Thereafter, a surface treatment layer is formed on the roughened layer, and the roughened layer is made of a material which includes at least one kind of non-copper metal elements and the concentration of the non-copper metal elements is smaller than 400 ppm. By controlling the concentration of the non-copper elements, the resistance of the copper foil can be reduced.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a bright surface product comprises a step of performing electroless plating to form a first metal film on a base coat layer formed on a substrate, a step of performing electrolytic plating to form a second metal film thereon so that the bonding strength between each film of a multi-layered metal film comprising the first metal film and the second film is higher than the bonding strength between the base coat layer and the first metal layer, a step of integrally and discontinuously segmentalizing the multi-layered metal film with cracks to form an island-like metal film comprising a collection of fine multi-layered metal regions with island-like structures; and a step of forming a translucent top coat layer to cover the fine multi-layered metal regions of the island-like metal film and enter into the cracks to make contact with the base coat layer.

摘要: In a method for chromium upgrading of interconnects made of ferritic steel to be used in solid oxide cell stacks, comprising the steps of shaping the interconnect, depositing a coating comprising Cr on at least one surface of the shaped interconnect and performing one or more thermal treatments at a temperature below 1000° C., the resulting Cr concentration near the surface of the interconnect is higher than the Cr concentration in the ferritic steel before shaping. Specifically, the average Cr concentration of the shaped interconnect is increased to 26 wt % Cr or higher.

摘要: A method for creating a chrome-plated surface having a matte finish that typically includes: controlling a resistance of a current bridge circuit; depositing a first chromium layer on a substrate positioned in a chromium bath, wherein the first chromium layer is deposited by supplying current from a power source that is electrically connected to the substrate and to anodes positioned in the chromium bath; etching the first chromium layer by engaging a current bridge that closes the current bridge circuit; depositing a first intermediate chromium layer, wherein the first intermediate chromium layer is deposited by supplying current from the power source; etching the first intermediate chromium layer, wherein the first intermediate chromium layer is etched by engaging the current bridge; and depositing a final chromium layer, wherein the final chromium layer is deposited by supplying current from the power source.

摘要: A steel sheet for cans has, on the surface thereof, in order from the steel sheet side, a chromium metal layer and a hydrous chromium oxide layer. The chromium metal layer is deposited in an amount of 50-200 mg/m2, and the hydrous chromium oxide layer is deposited in an amount of 3-15 mg/m2 in terms of chromium. The chromium metal layer includes: a flat chromium metal layer that has a thickness of at least 7 nm; and a granular chromium metal layer that includes granular protrusions that are formed on the surface of the flat chromium metal layer. The maximum grain size of the granular protrusions is 150 nm or smaller. The number density of the granular protrusions per unit area is 10/μm2 or higher.

The first and second metal surfaces may be made from the same base metal. The first and second metal surfaces may be created simultaneously, with the work piece and the first and second segments disposed in a common solution.

The hydrogen concentration of the hard chromium plated layer is equal to or less than 150 mass ppm.A method for producing the sliding member involves heating the surface of the base on which the chromium-based hard chromium plated layer has been formed at a temperature of 250° C. or more so that the hydrogen concentration of the hard chromium plated layer is equal to or less than 150 mass ppm, and thereafter forming the hard carbon layer mainly composed of carbon element on the hard chromium plated layer.
