摘要: A compliant joint capable of achieving passive compliance for a robot in order to prevent an injury to a human by collision with the robot. The compliant joint includes a housing, a cam member rotatably mounted in the housing, a roller spring device mounted to the cam member to be compressed and extended, a guiding member formed in the housing to guide compression and extension of the roller spring device in accordance with rotation of the cam member, and a receiving recess formed at the guiding member to engage the housing and the cam member with each other by receiving the roller spring device and release the engagement by separating from the roller spring device. Accordingly, robustness of the robot can be maintained when an impact less than a predetermined magnitude is applied, while being suddenly decreased when an impact greater than the magnitude is applied.

摘要: A variable capacity rotary compressor is provided, in which a vane may be restricted by a pressure difference generated between both side surfaces of the vane when the compressor performs in a saving driving mode. The vane may be restricted quickly and stably by rapidly decreasing a pressure of a vane chamber by leaking a discharge pressure of the vane chamber to an inlet via a low pressure passage and thereby increasing a pressurizing force applied to a side surface of the vane relatively greater than a supporting force applied to a rear surface thereof. In this way, the vane may be prevented from being vibrated due to a weak restriction force of the vane when a power driving mode of the compressor is switched into the saving driving mode, which prevents noise from increasing due to design conditions, thereby enhancing a comfort feeling of a user.

摘要: A tilting pad journal bearing mounted with a stepped seal tooth at an oil supply part disposed between bearing pads is disclosed. More particularly, the tilting pad journal bearing is formed by mounting a plurality of the bearing pads between an inner circumference of a bearing case and an outer circumference of a rotor, and mounting the seal tooth only to the oil supply part formed between the bearing pads to supply cooling lubricant while removing the seal tooth from a bearing pad part to thereby reduce a frictional torque between the bearing and the rotor and metal temperature, such that performance of the bearing pad can be guaranteed and the capability of the bearing can be improved by reducing loss of a driving force.

摘要: A system and method for assisting a visually impaired individual provides a guide robot that can guide a user to a desired destination. The guide robot includes at least one camera device, at least one distance measurement device, a global positioning system (GPS) module, and a controller. The camera device, the distance measurement device, and the GPS module are used to capture data of the area surrounding the guide robot in order to track and detect path obstacles along an intended geospatial path. The intended geospatial path is virtually generated in accordance to a set of navigational instructions that can be provided by the user. The user can provide the navigational instructions through a set of voice commands and/or through a computerized leash. The guide robot can notify the user of the path obstacles along the intended geospatial in order to safely guide the user to the desired destination.

摘要: A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) module for preventing a hot spot that deteriorates an external appearance quality using existing components is provided. The LCD module includes an optical sheet disposed at an upper surface of a light guide plate, a Light Emitting Diode Flexible Printed Circuit Board (LED FPCB) on which an LED for emitting light to the light guide plate is mounted, and a double-sided tape having a portion protruding toward the optical sheet further than the LED FPCB and adhered to a mounting surface of the LED FPCB. Therefore, occurrence of a hot spot can be reduced without increasing components. Further, because a thickness increase of a local portion is unnecessary, a second failure such as panel lifting is not caused.
