    摘要: There is proposed a mechanism for controlling and conducting a discovery procedure of small cells or secondary cells located in a macro cell or primary cell. The discovery procedure is based on a discovery signal communicated via PDCH and based on a positioning reference signal (PRS). For configuring the signaling of the discovery signal, frequency domain multiplexing for splitting resources of the PRS in the frequency domain for increasing capacity, and/or usage of reserved communication resources for the signaling of the discovery signal are employed. Assistance information is provided to the UE for supporting the discovery of small cells.

    摘要: A radio frame or subframe is checked and it is determined to satisfy at least one predefined condition. In response to that determination, a second search space is utilized such that a number Y of blind detections for a user equipment UE in the determined radio frame/subframe is greater than a number X of blind detections for the UE in the radio frame/subframe if a first search space were utilized. In various embodiments the predefined condition is: the number X of blind detections is less than a threshold value Z (Z>=Y) where Z is a maximum number M of blind detections defined by a transmission mode for the frame's/subframe's component carrier CC; a number of CCs configured for the UE; the radio frame or subframe is in the first CC but not in the second CC one of uplink or a special subframe (further conditions) or an almost blank subframe.

    摘要: A user equipment UE determines at least one first set SI of physical resource blocks PRBs, and detects downlink signaling within search spaces of set(s) SI. Through that downlink signaling the UE obtains a configuration for a downlink control channel, and that configuration indicates at least one second set S2 of PRBs and at least one search space specific for the UE which lies within S2. The UE utilizes the obtained configuration to monitor at least some of the search spaces of SI and the at least one search space specific for the UE of S2 for further downlink control signaling. Multiple implementations are detailed for how the UE gets SI. This invention is particularly useful for a configurable ePDCCH region in a stand-alone carrier where the UE is not able to get the new configuration from some other carrier such as a PCell whose configuration does not change.

    摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to facilitate the determination of the timing advances of each of a plurality of component carriers by triggering the determination of the timing advances in response to certain pre-defined events that are indicative of a need for the timing advance to be determined. A method may include determining that a pre-defined event has occurred and triggering a determination of a timing advance for a second component carrier relative to a timing advance of a first component carrier based upon occurrence of the predefined event. In this regard, both the component carriers are concurrently allocated to a mobile terminal. The method may also utilize the timing advance to synchronize communications on the second component carrier between the mobile terminal and a network. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product may also be provided.
