    摘要: A user equipment UE determines at least one first set SI of physical resource blocks PRBs, and detects downlink signaling within search spaces of set(s) SI. Through that downlink signaling the UE obtains a configuration for a downlink control channel, and that configuration indicates at least one second set S2 of PRBs and at least one search space specific for the UE which lies within S2. The UE utilizes the obtained configuration to monitor at least some of the search spaces of SI and the at least one search space specific for the UE of S2 for further downlink control signaling. Multiple implementations are detailed for how the UE gets SI. This invention is particularly useful for a configurable ePDCCH region in a stand-alone carrier where the UE is not able to get the new configuration from some other carrier such as a PCell whose configuration does not change.

    摘要: An aggressor access node in a heterogeneous network sends to a victim access node a pattern of transmit power for designated low-interference subframes (e.g., LP-ABSs). Utilizing feedback information collected from the victim node which quantizes interference seen by user equipments (UEs) which are allocated at least some of those subframes, the aggressor node selects whether and how much to adjust transmit power for subsequent such subframes, then sends to the victim node a pattern of the adjusted transmit power for those subsequent subframes (e.g., an enhancement to relative narrowband transmit power RNTP). The victim node sends to UEs the pattern of transmit power and respective resource allocations in those designated low-interference subframes; then derives interference level per UE in those subframes based on channel quality indications received from the respective UEs; and sends to the aggressor access node feedback information which quantizes the derived interference levels.

    摘要: There is provided a mechanism for controlling communications conducted via different frequency bands or communication spectrums. When a communication via a first communication path, for example an unlicensed or white space communication spectrum, is to be established, e.g. for offloading traffic from a second communication path, for example a licensed cellular communication spectrum, a preamble transmission command is generated and transmitted from a communication network control element, such as an eNB, via the second communication path to a communication element, such as a UE. By means of the preamble transmission command, the transmission of a preamble signal by the receiving communication element on the first communication path with predetermined communication resources is triggered. Based on a receipt or non-receipt of the preamble signal via the first communication path, the communication network control element is able to determine that the communication element can establish a connection on the first communication path, for example the unlicensed or white space communication spectrum.

    摘要: Methods, apparatus and computer program products provide channel state information (CS1) measurement and reporting for a segment carrier in certain situations. An apparatus such as a base station may determine whether CSI is needed for a channel of a segment carrier comprising a segment portion and a contiguous bandwidth extension of a backward compatible carrier utilized by a base station for wireless communications with a mobile terminal. In response to determining that CSI is needed, the apparatus configures the mobile terminal to communicate channel state information from the mobile terminal to the base station. In other embodiments, an apparatus such as a mobile terminal is configured to receive configuration data indicating whether CSI is to be measured by the mobile terminal, and measuring the CSI and communicating the CSI to the base station in response to the configuration data.

    摘要: There is provided a mechanism for controlling communications conducted via different frequency bands or communication spectrums. The discovery procedure is based on a discovery signal communicated via PDCH and based on a positioning reference signal (PRS). For configuring the signaling of the discovery signal, frequency domain multiplexing for splitting resources of the PRS in the frequency domain for increasing capacity, and/or usage of reserved communication resources for the signaling of the discovery signal are employed. Assistance information is provided to the UE for supporting the discovery of small cells.

    摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided facilitating flexible time sharing among systems. A method and apparatus may generate a secondary component carrier transmission plan including planned on and off durations. The planned on durations correspond to a time period for an apparatus and devices to communicate via an unlicensed band of the secondary component carrier. The planned off durations correspond to a time interval in which the devices may deactivate from the unlicensed band or remain disconnected from the unlicensed band. The method and apparatus may also enable provision of the plan to the devices via a licensed band of a primary component carrier and detecting a medium of the unlicensed band prior to the expiration of the time period to determine whether the medium is available in order to decide whether to turn on transmissions to the unlicensed band after one of the planned off durations.

    摘要: The invention allows flexible disabling/enabling of cross-carrier scheduling in carrier-aggregated wireless data transmission. In response to detecting a predetermined disabling indication of cross-carrier scheduling of received carrier aggregated wireless data transmission, the disabling indication targeting subframes allocated to uplink in a first component carrier transmitted from a cross-carrier scheduling cell and to downlink in a second component carrier transmitted from a cross-carrier scheduled cell: a downlink control region in the targeted subframes in the second component carrier is monitored for uplink/downlink grants; and in response to detecting an uplink/downlink grant, the detected uplink/downlink grant is utilized in uplink/downlink scheduling of the targeted subframe in the second component carrier.
