摘要: A method of making a stent-graft comprising, providing a radially distensible, tubular stent having opposed open ends comprising an undulating wire helically wound into a plurality of circumferential windings to define stent wall structure having opposed exterior and luminal surfaces, providing a first non-textile, polymeric graft tube, providing a second non-textile, polymeric graft tube, laminating the radially distensible, tubular stent between the first non-textile, polymeric graft tube and the second non-textile, polymeric graft tube, trimming the laminated polymeric graft tube beyond the undulating wire at the open ends, providing a third non-textile, polymeric graft layer; placing the third non-textile, polymeric graft layer over the trimmed over ends, inserting the third non-textile, polymeric graft layer of the tubular stent into the undulating wires; and laminating the third non-textile polymeric graft layer to the first non-textile, polymeric graft tube and the second non-textile, polymeric graft tube.

摘要: Various arthroscopic shavers are provided that minimize contact between bodily fluid and the shaver hand piece. Arthroscopic shavers generally include a cutting assembly mated to a hand piece. In one embodiment, the shaver includes a hub that connects the cutting assembly with the hand piece and has an exit port configured to transport cut tissue and fluid from the device. In another embodiment, the shaver includes a hub configured to retrofit existing shaver hand pieces having interior lumens for removing cut tissue and fluid. The hub further includes an exit port that diverts fluid away from the hand piece.

摘要: A method of making a non-porous tubular graft is disclosed. The method includes the step of securing a plurality of fastening elements extending through an outer layer of knitted, woven, or braided material along a length of the outer layer, wherein the fastening elements extend outwardly from the outer layer. The method further includes the steps of placing an inner layer of non-porous material within the outer layer such that an underside of each fastening element is positioned between the inner layer and the outer layer and laminating the outer layer to the inner layer to form the non-porous tubular graft.

摘要: A multi-section filamentary stent comprises a braided section of a first set of filaments, connected to at least one wound section comprising a second set of one or more filaments having a repeating configuration with a bent portion. The stent may comprise a first section, having a braided first stent architecture with a first flexibility and a first radial force, and a second section, having a non-braided second stent architecture with a secoid flexibility less than the first flexibility and a second radial force greater than the first radial force, in which at least one continuous filament is integral to both the first and second sections. The stent may have a radially compressed configuration and a radially expanded configuraton, in which the first section has a first shortening ratio, and the second section has a second shortening ratio less than the first shortening ratio.

摘要: A braided modular stent comprising a first component and a second component, each component comprising an hourglass-shaped interface having a reduced diameter section positioned between two sloped sections. Each sloped section extends between the reduced diameter section and one of a plurality of nominal diameter sections. The reduced diameter section has a greater radial strength than the nominal diameter sections. One of the components may have a sealing region, such as a circumferential elevation, for providing an endoleak-resistant seal between the stent and a body lumen. One exemplary method for fabricating a circumferential elevation comprises affixing a plurality of filaments, such as sutures, between overlaps of braided filaments in one region and overlaps in another region.
