An optical payment transceiver and an optical settlement system using the same uses a personal portable terminal incorporated with an optical transceiver as a card substitute payment unit for settlement. Here, card information is incorporated in a personal portable terminal incorporated with an optical transceiver such as a portable phone or a PDA and the optical transceiver is connected to a card inquiry machine to thereby optically transmit and receive card information. The card inquiry machine recognizes the received card information in the same manner as that of the card reader reading a magnetic card, and transmits the card information to a VAN company server or a card company server, to then request for an approval and settle transactions. The present invention is applied to most fields where financial transactions are performed as in a general commerce, a toll gate fee or tunnel passage fee collection system, a subway or bus fare levying system, a gas station, a department store, a drive-thru ordering system, a vending machine, and a fee payment system of kiosks. Also, the present invention can be applied to an entrance/exit security system requiring personal identification. Thus, the present invention can use a portable terminal as a payment unit without carrying a cash or cards, to thereby provide an effect of performing a safer and more reliable credit transaction.

Disclosed is a reinforced matrix for a molten carbonate fuel cell comprising a porous aluminum support and a lithium aluminate tape-cast on the porous aluminum support. Further, disclosed is a method for preparing the molten carbonate fuel cell comprising the reinforced matrix comprising steps of tape-casting a lithium aluminate on a porous aluminum support so as to prepare a reinforced matrix (S1), making a unit cell or a stack of the unit cells using the reinforced matrix (S2) and heat treating the unit cell or the stack so as to oxidize aluminum in the support into lithium aluminate (S3). According to the present invention, the method is simple and economic, and the mass production of the matrix is easy, and strength of the matrix can be increased effectively and therefore there is no worry about fracture or crack.

Provided are an apparatus and method for managing quality of a multi protocol label switching (MPLS) label switched path (LSP), which has been previously established in a convergence network. The apparatus for managing quality of a LSP includes: LSP provisioning/releasing means for provisioning and releasing the LSP in a convergence network; and LSP quality management means for measuring the quality of the LSP on the basis of performance information received from the each node through which the LSP passes, wherein the LSP quality management means transmits alert information to the LSP provisioning/releasing means, when the measured quality of the LSP deviates from a predetermined performance threshold, so that the LSP is readjusted.

The cogeneration system includes a heat pump type air conditioner, a waste heat recoverer to recover waste heat of a drive source, a waste heat supplying heat exchanger, which is heated by the waste heat recovered by the waste heat recoverer, and a bypassing unit, which causes the waste heat supplying heat exchanger to function as an evaporator during a heating operation of the heat pump type air conditioner. In accordance with this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the heating capacity of the heat pump type air conditioner irrespective of outdoor temperature, to prevent damage of compressors, and to minimize power consumption.

A cogeneration system including an engine, which drives a generator to generate electricity, a cooling/heating unit, which comprises at least one compressor, a four-way valve, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, and an indoor heat exchanger, to establish a heat pump type refrigerant cycle, and an exhaust heat consuming heating unit to supply heat of exhaust gas discharged from the engine to a heat exchanging zone of the indoor heat exchanger of the cooling/heating unit, and thus, to heat a confined space. Since waste heat generated from the engine is directly used in the cooling/heating unit, an enhancement in indoor heating efficiency is achieved.
