    摘要: To reproduce a video signal recorded in a plurality of individual inclined tracks on a magnetic tape by a head-wheel, the information content of each television picture is distributed over a plurality of the tracks and the reproduction is effected at a different tape speed from that of recording.Each head at the periphery of the head-wheel is deflectable in a direction perpendicular to the plane in which the head-wheel rotates, and at all times at least two heads are simultaneously in contact with the tape. The deflection of each head is controlled in such manner that at any given time at least one of the two heads in contact with the tape is guided along a recorded track, and reproduced picture information is continuously available in correct sequence by selective switching of the outputs from the magnetic heads.

    摘要: A method of delaying a signal N period lengths of a timing signal is disclosed using two shift registers which have capacities y and z, each less than N, but which have a total capacity greater than N. The signal to be delayed is fed to a first shift register until that shift register is full. The signal is later fed to the second shift register. When N bits of information have been recorded by the shift registers, the first shift register is again inputted causing an output which corresponds to the first data bits of the signal. Thus, there is stored in both registers y+z-N bits of common data during each cycle. This cycle is repeated for each N periods of the timing signal, thereby resulting in the storage of N data bits by a plurality of shift registers which each have a capacity less than N which have a total capacity greater than N.

    摘要: Color T.V. signal information is transmitted from a receiver into a recorder, from a transmitter to a receiver, from a color T.V. camera into a transmitter, or the like. The luminance component and the chrominance component are alternately applied to an analog-to-digital converter, during alternate respective field-periods (half-frame periods) of the T.V. signal. Produced at the output of the converter is a signal in which the digital chrominance information alternates with the digital luminance information during different respective field-periods of the T.V. signal. Although a single analog-to-digital converter can be used, the sampling frequency for the analog-to-digital conversion of the two different components can be of different respective values.

    摘要: As many as three of the four heads spaced at 90.degree. intervals around the periphery of a head wheel may be in contact with the magnetic tape of a video recorder and reproducer at the same time. Oblique tracks are recorded on the tape record video date in blocks corresponding to sectors, each composed of the same numbers of lines, each track beginning with a video sector and ending with another video sector with small audio blocks inbetween. Four different sector designations succeed each other in turn. The video data of each block is preceded by an identification signal of which the two most significant bits designate the sector. The sector designations are separated from the outputs of each of the magnetic heads and control a PROM, the output of which controls a crosspoint switch to direct data blocks in accordance with the sector identification to four memories and the audio blocks to an audio memory. When reproduction is performed at a speed faster or slower than the recording speed, the control data for the switch normally still has enough redundance for correct switching but when the control data becomes inconsistent with the track pattern, an error is detected and the previous setting of the switch is preserved. Errors can be reduced by taking into account head wheel pulses on the tape or data from a longitudinal track on the tape.

    摘要: For slow motion playback operation with a digital video magnetic tape recording and reproducing equipment an intermediate memory system has four picture field memories of which there are always three available for writing into but only one of them at a time is in read-out operation. In a first reading operation of a particular picture field memory an AND correlation of a write flag and an error flag is necessary for providing an error recognition signal to following circuits and before a reading goes to the next address the write flag is erased by writing in a logic zero, but the correlated signal is used to rewrite the error flag in the error flag memory. In subsequent readings any error flag is transmitted and rewritten, but all write flags remain erased to signify that the memory has been read out at least once.

    摘要: Two logic circuits (4A, 4B) are utilized in alternation for controlling the processing of successive pixels that are detected to be erroneous. Each logic circuit has its own counter 5A and 5B for associating the undisturbed pixels with ordinal numbers designating their spacing from the disturbed pixel under processing and likewise has a separate PROM (6A, 6B) and a separate multiplier for weighting the undisturbed pixel values, as well as an accumulator (10A, 10B) for summing the weighted values to produce a substitute value, so that undisturbed pixels lying between two disturbed pixels can all be used, where necessary, both for compensating for a preceding disturbed pixel and a following disturbed pixel. When a following disturbed pixel is detected while a preceding disturbed pixel is being processed by a logic circuit, that logic circuit provides a special reset to its counter and accumulator and selects another PROM program in accordance with the shortening of the "filter length" by the nearness of the two disturbed pixels. When no defective pixels appear on the counters, multipliers and accumulators do not need to operate.
