摘要： A variable capacity type compressor has a swash plate, pistons reciprocating in the cylinder bores, a suction chamber, and a discharge chamber. A check valve arranged in the compressor. The check valve has a valve seat member having a flow passage and a valve seat, a case attached to the valve seat member, and a valve element arranged in the case for cooperation with the valve seat. The case has a communication hole formed therethrough to allow the gas to flow from the flow passage through the communication hole to the outside circuit. The case has a damper chamber formed therein on the back side of the valve element to damp vibration of the valve element.

摘要： A compressor includes pistons slidably accommodated in cylinder bores. A head and a skirt are formed at the ends of the piston. The head has a peripheral surface that always contacts the inner surface of the cylinder bore. The skirt is coupled with a swash plate. An annular space opens to the side of the piston. The annular space is located between the head and the skirt. A recess is located on the inner wall of a front housing and extends longitudinally in the axial direction of the piston. A projection is integrally formed on the skirt of the piston to engage with the recess. Rotation of the piston about its axis with respect to the cylinder bore is restricted by the engagement of the projection with the recess. A force acting on the piston in a direction transverse to the axis of the piston is received by the recess through the projection.

Each piston slides on an inner peripheral wall of an associated cylinder to seal a compression chamber. Each piston includes an outer peripheral surface and cavities. The outer peripheral surface has a seal to seal the cylinder and a pressure receiving surface to receive reaction forces from the wall of the cylinder. A low friction layer is formed on the pressure receiving surface. The layer facilitates the sliding movement of the piston with respect to the cylinder.

The pair of hinges of the double fulcrum hinge mechanism cooperate to absorb reaction forces of the compression and suction of the refrigerant gas acting from the pistons on the swash plate assembly to thereby prevent application of a local load to a sleeve element on which the swash plate assembly is turnably mounted.

A communication passage (23) connects the gas discharge chamber (4b) to the gas suction chamber (4a), and a branch passage (24) branching from the communication passage (23) is connected to the crank chamber (2a). Disposed in the communication passage (23) is a valve (25, 45) which normally blocks the communication passage (23) and opens the communication passage (23) to alter pressure in the crank chamber (2a).

摘要： A swash plate type variable displacement compressor comprises cylinder bores, pistons, a suction chamber and a discharge chamber. A suction valve introduces a low pressure gas into a working chamber in each cylinder bore. A discharge valve introduces a high pressure gas in the working chamber into the discharge chamber during a compression stroke. A crank chamber communicates to each of the cylinder bores at rear sides of the pistons. A swash plate is tiltably supported on a drive shaft and connected to each of the pistons through associated rods. The swash plate makes the pistons reciprocate in response to its undulating swing motion and varies its inclination angle based upon pressure differential between pressure in the suction chamber and pressure in the crank chamber therefore adjusting discharge displacement. A gas supply passage communicates each cylinder bore to the crank chamber in order to supply gas having a lower pressure than that in the working chamber at the time of completing the compression stroke. A gas bleed passage communicates the crank chamber to the suction chamber in order to introduce gas in the crank chamber into the suction chamber. A pressure control valve is provided in the gas supply passage or the gas bleed passage to control pressure of gas in the crank chamber. A valve is provided for opening and closing the gas supply passage in the middle of the compression stroke of each of the pistons.

摘要： A swash plate of a variable displacement type compressor is swingably provided within a housing. Pistons reciprocate according to the swinging motion of the swash plate. The gas is compressed and discharged in response to the reciprocal motion of the pistons. As a stroke of the piston is varied according to the inclination angle of the swash plate, displacement of the compressor is varied. A displacement detector of the compressor includes a detected piece made of magnet. The detected piece is attached to one of the piston and a member which reciprocates in association with the piston. Detecting wires are arranged along the reciprocating locus of detected piece, and include a plurality of cyclic units which cross the center line extending in the longitudinal direction.
