    摘要: A seat device for a vehicle comprises a seat for a passenger including seatbacks to support a passenger's back portion, reinforcing structure bodies provided inside the seatbacks along an outer periphery of the seatbacks, headrests provided at upper portions of the reinforcing structure bodies to support a passenger's head portion, connection support portions provided beside the reinforcing structure bodies to connect the reinforcing structure bodies to a vehicle-body member, and move-allowance portions to allow lower portions of the reinforcing structure bodies to move rearwardly in a vehicle rear collision so that the headrests move forwardly or upwardly. Accordingly, a passenger's head portion can be protected effectively with a simple structure.

Accordingly, the passenger's head can be protected with a simple structure.

    摘要: A seat for a vehicle comprises a seat cushion, a seat back, a headrest having a neck-support portion, a headrest pole member to support the headrest, and a rotational support device. The rotational support device supports the headrest in such a manner that the neck-support portion of the headrest is rotated around a rotational axis that extends in substantially a width direction of the seat back and held at a specified angle relative to the seat back, wherein the headrest is its lowest position, the neck-support portion of the headrest is configured to be allowed to be rotated forward from its rearmost stored position by the rotational support device. Accordingly, a neck portion of a passenger can be supported by the neck-support portion of the headrest properly.

    摘要: A controller stops a registration roller to temporarily hold a recording sheet and restarts the registration roller at a timing of transferring an image formed on an intermediate transferring belt to a predetermined position of the recording sheet. Then, an adjustment time calculator compares a time measured by a time counter with a predetermined reference time and calculates the difference between the measured time and the reference time as the adjustment time. The controller controls the driving of the sheet feeding mechanism based on the calculated adjustment time so that the waiting time of a next recording sheet becomes closer to the predetermined reference time.

    摘要: A brominated 1,3-dimethyl-3-phenyl-1-(2-methyl-2-phenylpropyl) indane herein disclosed is represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## (wherein x and z each independently represents an integer ranging from 0 to 5, y represents an integer ranging from 0 to 4, provided that x+y+z>1). The compound can be prepared by a method which comprises the step of reacting 1,3-dimethyl-3-phenyl-1-(2-methyl-2-phenylpropyl) indane with a bromination agent. The brominated indane is excellent in flame-resistance, has a high thermal decomposition temperature and never generates brominated dioxine and/or brominated dibenzofuran when burning at a specific temperature. Therefore, the compound is suitably used for imparting flame-resistance to a variety of thermoplastic and thermosetting resins.
