摘要: An improved lubricating grease composition is herein disclosed, which comprises a base oil and a thickening agent, wherein the base oil comprises 50 to 100% by weight of a carbonate ester compound represented by the following general formula (I): R1O—CO—OR2 (I) wherein R1 and R2 each independently represents a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched alkyl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, on the basis of the total weight of the base oil. The lubricating grease composition shows remarkably improved acoustic life and an improved frictional coefficient, as compared with those observed for conventional grease compositions.

摘要: A laser driver according to the present invention is adapted to keep the optical output power of a laser diode constant even if the temperature has changed or if the performance of the laser diode has deteriorated with time. The laser driver includes a photodiode, a current-to-voltage converter, a reference voltage generator, a transconductor, a holding capacitor and a drive current output circuit. The current-to-voltage converter converts an output current of the photodiode, which is provided to monitor the optical output of the laser diode, into a monitor voltage. The transconductor supplies an output current corresponding to a difference between the monitor voltage and a predetermined reference voltage. The drive current output circuit outputs a laser drive current corresponding to the voltage held by the holding capacitor, which is connected to the output terminal of the transconductor. The laser driver with this configuration performs a feedback control in such a manner as to equalize the monitor voltage with the reference voltage, thereby keeping the optical output power of the laser diode constant. As a result, high-precision and stabilized APC performance is realized.

摘要: In a semiconductor device and a method of manufacturing the same, an isolating and insulating film is provided at an end neighboring to a second impurity region with a groove extended to a semiconductor substrate. This removes a crystal defect existed at the end of the isolating and insulating film, and thus prevents leak of a current at this portion from a storage node. Consequently, provision of the groove at the edge portion of the isolating oxide film neighboring to the impurity region removes a crystal defect at this region, and thus eliminates a possibility of leak of a current.

摘要: A flow control device can variably control the flow rate with extremely high accuracy over a wide flow rate range from a high to a low flow rate with a single pump. In this flow control device, a pump is provided in a main pipe line through which fluid is fed. A bypass branches from the main pipe line at a point nearer to the discharge port than is the pump. A flowmeter and a flow control valve are provided in the bypass. In the bypass is further provided a back pressure regulating valve near the discharge port. The degree of opening of the flow control valve is adjusted based on the flow rate detected by the flowmeter. The back pressure regulating valve suppresses pressure fluctuation on the discharge side of the flow control valve.

摘要: A change gear control device is provided for an automatic transmission in a motor vehicle propelled by an internal combustion engine which is operated with an air/fuel mixture having air/fuel ratios ranging from a fuel rich air/fuel ratio to a fuel lean air/fuel ratio depending on driving conditions of the motor vehicle. In this device a first detector detects an engine torque of the internal combustion engine and a second detector detects a vehicle speed of the motor vehicle. A processor processes transmission gear ratios for the automatic transmission. In particular, the processor reads the detected engine torque from the first detector and the detected vehicle speed from the second detector, determines a new transmission gear ratio based upon the engine torque and the vehicle speed, and outputs a signal representing the new transmission gear ratio to the automatic transmission, whereby a gear shifting operation is effected at a timing based on an engine torque variation due to an operating air/fuel ratio change.

摘要: A semiconductor device having a structure of at least two interconnect levels is disclosed wherein word lines as a lower interconnect layer are not removed if a misalignment exists when contact holes are formed. The word lines (2) serving as gate electrodes are arranged on a surface of a p-type Si substrate (14) serving as a base. An etching stopper underlay insulative film (10) is formed over the word lines (2), and an etching stopper film (9) is formed to cover the etching stopper underlay insulative film (10). An interlayer insulative film (8) and bit lines (1) are deposited on the etching stopper film (9), and a hole is formed. A sidewall insulative film (16) is formed on a side surface of the hole. The etching stopper film (9) functions to prevent part of the word lines (2) which is located in the hole from being removed.

摘要: A read/write apparatus which enables setting and removal of a read/write compact disk within a limited space of the apparatus includes a turntable 83 having a cap portion 123 that permits a center hole h of a read/write compact disk to be fitted therearound. Clips 124 are capable of advancing and retreating from a rim of cap portion 123 of turntable 83. A setting/removing lever 136 is provided in such a manner that setting/removing lever 136 is capable of rotating by a specified angle with respect to turntable 83. A head 85 which is capable of moving parallel to the radius of the read/write compact disk to perform reading or writing of the read/write compact disk is provided. Head 85 has a stopper 145 which catches a catching portion 139 of setting/removing lever 136 at a position head 85 approaches closest to turntable 83. Cap portion 123 is provided with a setting/removing device 125. During forward rotation of turntable 83, setting/removing device 125 catches stopper 145, thereby causing clips 124 to advance. During reverse rotation of turn table 83, setting/removing device 125 catches stopper 145 and which enables clips 124 to retreat.

摘要: A lubricant composition comprising from 0.1 to 10% by weight of a phosphate glass, characterized in that said phosphate glass comprises from 45 to 75 mole % of P.sub.2 O.sub.5, from 10 to 35 mole % of M.sub.2 O (M represents alkaline metals) and from 0 to 45 mole % of B.sub.2 O.sub.3. Phosphate glasses are in the form of powder with white to ash-colored appearance, and do not cause dirt of working surroundings. Phosphate glasses are less expensive than solid lubricants which are conventionally used, and also excellent load carrying capacity can be attained by adding a small amount of phosphate glass to a lubricant composition. Accordingly, the lubricant composition of the present invention shows better load carrying capacity than a conventional lubricant composition.
