摘要: A control system and method for controlling a continuously variable transmission in a vehicle propulsion system includes measuring a speed ratio of the continuously variable transmission, determining whether the measured speed ratio is drifting away from a commanded speed ratio, and adjusting the commanded speed ratio to a value that is different than a desired speed ratio if the measured speed ratio is drifting away from the commanded speed ratio.

The method is started with the components of the planetary gearing interlocked by a locking means, in which they are released during the gear shifting and interlocked again after the gear shifting has been carried out.

摘要: An automatic transmission controller is provided, which is capable of reducing occurrence of a shift shock while improving responsiveness of a driving force. An ECU is configured to calculate a target shift time based on an input torque that is input to the automatic transmission when a gear stage is shifted from a current gear stage to a target gear stage spaced two or more stages apart from the current gear stage. The ECU is also configured to: shift the gear stage to an intermediate gear stage between the current gear stage and the target gear stage when the target shift time is not less than a predetermined value; and to shift the gear stage directly to the target gear stage when the target shift time is less than the predetermined value.

Another step may be employed whereby the torque request is controlled with a second control strategy after the first control strategy and before the occurrence of the backlash such that a torque request level is below a highest torque request level obtained during the first control-strategy.

摘要: In a transmission hydraulic control system, a gain control valve may be used to switch between a low gain and a high gain based on line pressure. Line pressure may be controlled as a function of turbine torque. If the gain of a holding element or oncoming element changes during a shift as a result of changing turbine torque, shift quality may degrade. If the gain is set low at the beginning of the shift, the controller limits engine torque to ensure that the line pressure is not increased beyond a level that would cause a gain switch. If the gain is set high at the beginning of a shift, the controller maintains the line pressure high enough to prevent a switch to low gain, even if turbine torque drops.

摘要: While a vehicle is traveling in a state where any one of gear positions of a mechanical stepped transmission unit is established, until an estimated input torque that is obtained from the equation of motion for an electrical differential unit changes, a hydraulic pressure of a non-engaged intended hydraulic friction engagement device is increased, and a pack end pressure is learned on the basis of the hydraulic pressure at that time. Therefore, irrespective of feedback control, or the like, over motor generators of the electrical differential unit, it is possible to appropriately learn the pack end pressure, so it is possible to appropriately execute hydraulic control over the hydraulic friction engagement devices, that is, engaging and releasing control, or the like, at the time of shifting, irrespective of individual differences of the portions, aging of friction materials, or the like.
