    摘要: To fit male and female connector housings together without tilting, an inner bottom surface of a hood portion of a male connector housing has step portions formed at the four respective corner portions, and a recessed portion having a lower height than the step portions. The female connector housing can be fully inserted because of a gap provided between a bulged portion of the female connector housing and the recessed portion. The female connector housing, when further inserted, slides at its opposite ends to change its posture so that male and female terminals are completely connected together.

    摘要: To prevent an electric wire cover from being attached upside down, ribs 16 and 24 are formed respectively on the outer peripheral upper face of a housing 10 and the inner peripheral lower face of an electric wire cover 20. Two wire distribution spaces 36U and 36L are provided between the housing 10 and the electric wire cover 20, extending along the upper and lower faces of the housing 10.     摘要: A connector in which the deformation of lock portions is prevented, and the connector can have a compact design, and housings are prevented from being displaced with respect to each other in both longitudinal and transverse directions. Transverse grooves of a dovetail shape are formed respectively in widthwise opposite ends of an upper surface of a lower housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed in a widthwise central portion of this upper surface. Transverse ribs of a dovetail shape are formed respectively at widthwise opposite ends of a lower surface of an upper housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed on a widthwise central portion of this lower surface. The transverse ribs are greater in projecting height than the longitudinal ribs. When the ribs are press-fitted respectively into the associated grooves, the two housings are locked together. When an external force of above a predetermined level is applied so as to separate the two housings from each other, the ribs are withdrawn respectively from the grooves, thereby disconnecting the two housings from each other.

    摘要: A connector assembly with a bad-connection-preventive function is disclosed. It is simple in structure, made up of a small number of parts, and has high long-term reliability. It has a second connector having an integral locking arm and a first connector. Protrusions A and B are formed on side faces of the locking arm and the side faces of the first connector, respectively. A spring is mounted in the first connector. By inserting the second connector into the first connector, the locking arm is pushed upward by the protrusions B, so that its shoulder portion abuts the spring. Thus, the spring is compressed when the second connector is further pushed into the first connector. The connectors are thus urged in a direction away from each other by the spring. The spring disengages when the connectors are completely coupled together. When pulling the second connector out of the first connector, the protrusions A pass under the protrusions B.

    摘要: This invention aims to temporarily lock and smoothly couple and detach a lever type connector. After a hood 13 is opposed to a fitting portion 12a, the hood 13 is inserted into the fitting portion 12a, so that a lock portion 29 is clamped between an upper engaging projection 23 and a lower engaging projection 22. Then, a female connector housing 12 is temporarily locked in a male connector housing 11.
