    摘要: To simultaneously suppress halation and discharging current flowing in the unlikely event of discharge, and easily perform potential regulating for a spacer, an image displaying apparatus comprises: a rear plate having electron-emitting devices arranged in matrix; a face plate having a substrate, light-emitting members arranged in matrix on the substrate, metal backs each covering at least one member and mutually arranged in matrix at gaps, ribs having first striped portions respectively positioned among the members and protruding toward the rear plate, and a resistive wiring including a resistor between the substrate and the ribs and electrically connecting the metal backs, and positioned oppositely to the rear plate; and a spacer positioned between the rear plate and the ribs to mutually support the rear and face plates, wherein the rib has a spacer connection wiring abutting against the spacer, and the spacer connection wiring is electrically connected to the resistive wiring.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a first substrate, a potential-regulated conductive element, a second substrate having an electrode and an anode electrode connected to the electrode via a resistor, and a spacer which abuts on the conductive element, electrode and anode electrode to regulate a distance between the first and second substrates. The spacer includes a base material. A first resistor film covers a side face of the base material and is electrically connected to the conductive element, electrode and anode electrode. A second resistor film covers a portion of the spacer facing the resistor, and is electrically connected to the electrode and anode electrode. A sheet resistance value of the second resistor film is less than a sheet resistance value of the first resistor film. A resistance value of the second resistor film between the electrode and anode electrode is greater than a resistance value of the resistor.

According to the present invention, the spacer having a surface structure which can suppress charging can be manufactured at a low cost, and an electron-beam apparatus such as an image-forming apparatus having a sufficient display luminance can also be manufactured.

    摘要: A support member (20) for maintaining the distance between a face plate (30) and a rear plate (31) is interposed between the face plate (30) and the rear plate (31). An insulating film is formed on the support member (20) or its surface. An intermediate layer (21) is formed at a portion near the rear plate (31). The intermediate layer (21) is set at a low resistance and the same potential as that of the rear plate (31). As a result, an electron beam emitted from an electron-emitting portion near the support member (20) follows an orbit which is directed temporarily away from the support member and then comes close to the support member near the face plate (30) due to the steady charge-up of the support member. Then, the electron beam is irradiated on a defined position on the face plate (30).

    摘要: In an image forming apparatus, a support member (50) for maintaining the distance between a face plate (30) and a rear plate (31) is interposed between the face plate (30) and the rear plate (31). The intermediate layer (52) is a low-resistance film, and is set to have almost the same potential as that of the face plate (30). As a result, an electron beam from an electron-emitting portion near the support member (50) follows an orbit which steadily comes close to the support member near the face plate. By setting the interval between electron-emitting devices adjacent to each other via the support member to be larger than the interval between devices adjacent to each other without the mediacy of the support member, the electron beam is irradiated on a proper position on the face plate (30).
