Abstract:
For supporting selection/authorization of network slicing, a radio access network (RAN) node in a new radio access technology (RAT), e.g. gNB, receives a service request including slice information from a user equipment (UE), and determines a slice based on the slice information. The RAN node forwards the service request including the slice information to a common control plane function (C-CPF), and then, the C-CPF checks whether the UE is authorized for a specific slice. The RAN node receives a service response including an authorization indication for the specific slice from the C-CPF, and performs a corresponding action for the specific slice.
Abstract:
A method for determining a radio resource control (RRC) configuration in a wireless communication system supporting dual connectivity, and an apparatus supporting the same is disclosed. The method for determining, by a base station (BS), a radio resource control (RRC) configuration in a wireless communication system supporting dual connectivity, includes transmitting, by a first BS, a first RRC configuration of a serving cell of the first BS or remained user equipment (UE) capability to a second BS configured in a UE, and receiving, by the first BS, a second RRC configuration of a serving cell of the second BS configured in the UE from the second BS. The first BS and the second BS are involved in dual connectivity for the UE, and the second RRC configuration is determined by the second BS based on the first RRC configuration or the remained UE capability.
Abstract:
For vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, an eNodeB (eNB) receives authorization information for a pedestrian UE which indicates whether a user equipment (UE) is authorized as the pedestrian UE. Upon receiving the authorization information for the pedestrian UE, the eNB may authorize the UE as the pedestrian UE or not according to the received authorization information, and decide a resource allocation mode for the authorized pedestrian UE.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method of performing a Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) operation in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for supporting the same. A method of performing an inter-eNB CoMP operation in a wireless communication system includes receiving, by a first eNB, a first LOAD INFORMATION message that requests the start of the CoMP operation from a second eNB, sending, by the first eNB, a second LOAD INFORMATION message for requesting Benefit Metric Information Element (IE) to the second eNB, receiving, by the first eNB, a third LOAD INFORMATION message, including the Benefit Metric IE from the second eNB, coordinating, by the first eNB, the resources of the eNBs included in the CoMP cluster, and sending, by the first eNB, a second LOAD INFORMATION message including results of the resource coordination to the eNBs included in the CoMP cluster.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting information among base stations for inter-cell interference cancellation in a massive MIMO or FD-MIMO system. A base station acquires interference area information, which is information on an area causing interference to a neighbor base station, and transmits the interference area information to the neighbor base station. The interference area information may include any one from among the vertical and horizontal angles of a beam causing interference to the neighbor base station, or the number of the area causing interference to the neighbor base station.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting information on a serving gateway (S-GW) in a wireless communication system is provided. A mobility management entity (MME) or a small cell evolved NodeB (SeNB) which manages a small cell, transmits an indication to a macro eNB (MeNB), if the MeNB and the SeNB are connected to different S-GWs from each other.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a cause value related to a small cell in a wireless communication system is provided. An evolved NodeB (eNB) of a small cell receives a request message form a macro cell, and as a response to the request message, transmits to the macro cell a failure message including a cause value related to the small cell. The cause value related to the small cell can indicate the reason why the small cell which is in an “off” state cannot shift to an “on” state, and the failure message can be any one of a handover preparation failure message, a cell activation failure message, or a secondary evolved NodeB (SeNB) addition failure message.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a cell shaping/un-shaping indication in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) transmits a cell shaping/un-shaping indication which indicates cell shaping/un-shaping of a cell, managed by the first eNB, in an active antenna system (AAS) to a second eNB. The cell shaping means that main coverage of the cell is maintained unchanged but an edge of the cell can be adapted to load demand. The cell un-shaping means that coverage of the cell goes back to original coverage.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of transmitting, by a base station, a signal for compensating for coverage in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus therefor. A method of transmitting, by a base station, a signal for compensating for coverage, comprises: receiving information indicating that a first base station is a base station supporting a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS), from the first base station in a state enabling switching off; receiving a coverage compensation request message containing MBMS-related information of the first base station from the first base station; and transmitting, by a compensation base station to the first base station, a coverage compensation response message indicating whether it is possible to compensate for the coverage of the first base station, wherein whether it is possible to compensate for the coverage of the first base station is determined on the basis of the MBMS-related information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for configuring dual connectivity for a terminal by a base station in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for the same. The method for configuring the dual connectivity for the terminal by the base station in the wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: receiving a service request message from a terminal connected to a first base station; transmitting, to a second base station, a handover request message including a request for configuring dual connectivity with the terminal when the service request message includes a service that the first base station cannot support; and transmitting, to the terminal, a connectivity configuration message indicating connectivity between the terminal and the second base station on the basis of a handover response message received from the second base station in response to the handover request message.
