摘要: An apparatus for measuring a distance to an eardrum has an optical sensor and a signal-processing device. The optical sensor acquires an image of the eardrum and the signal-processing device determines an area or separation extending perpendicular to the spacing distance to be measured in the image and determines the spacing distance to the eardrum as a function of the determined area or separation. A corresponding method includes the steps of acquiring an image of the eardrum, determining an area or separation extending perpendicular to the distance to be measured in the image, and determining the distance as a function of the determined area or separation. A projection image may be projected onto or into a vicinity of the eardrum and then the distance can be determined from the separation between the projection image and the eardrum or the image center of the image.

摘要: The operation of a hearing aid (10) or hearing aid system (10, 11) is to be improved. It is proposed here that the acoustic auditory environment in which the hearing aid (10) or hearing aid system (10, 11) is found is analyzed and one of the adjustment functions dependent on the relevant auditory situation is assigned to at least one control element (7; 12-15) as a function of the auditory situation detected in this way. The adjustment possibility of the hearing aid (10) is thereby restricted to the adjustment possibilities which are meaningful to the relevant auditory situation.

摘要: In one aspect, a programmable hearing apparatus is provided to allow a convenient programming of the hearing apparatus with minimal effort. To this end, programming data is stored in a transponder. The transponder is activated by the hearing apparatus. Consequently, programming data is transmitted from the transponder to the hearing apparatus.

摘要: The invention relates to an otological device, for example, a hearing aid or a tinnitus masker, to be worn in the area of a listener's ear. The otological device is designed to be worn at least partially attached to the tragus of a listener's ear. The otological device comprises an holding device that forms a gripping element for partially encloseing a tragus of the ear and locking onto the tragus with a positive or non positive fit. The otological device is designed to fill only partially an auditory canal of the ear or additionally a concha of the ear so that the auditory. canal can be at least partially seen.

摘要: A hearing device has an ear fitting piece, a housing part wearable behind the ear, and an earpiece tube connecting the ear fitting piece and the housing part. The transmission of mechanical vibrations between the ear fitting piece and the housing part via the earpiece tube is prevented by damping elements located in the region of the connection points between the ear fitting piece and the earpiece tube, or between the earpiece tube and the housing part. The damping elements damp mechanical vibrations in the transition region. A damping element that prevents the transmission of mechanical vibrations can also be present on or in the earpiece tube. The feedback tendency in the appertaining hearing device is thereby reduced.

摘要: It is intended that the switching on and off of a hearing aid (I) should be made more user-friendly. To this end the hearing aid (I) is fitted with a temperature sensor (TS) to detect the body heat of the hearing aid wearer and therefore that the hearing aid is inserted in the auditory canal. The hearing aid is then switched on and off again based on the temperature signal. As an alternative to the temperature sensor, it is possible to use a pressure sensor to detect contact pressure of the hearing aid housing on the auditory canal, a resistance sensor to detect an electrical load resistance as a function of volume or an acoustic sensor to detect a sound level. It is also possible to switch the hearing aid (I) on and off wirelessly using a remote control.

摘要: In a hearing device with multiple microphones, and a signal generation method, the dynamic range of hearing devices is improved by using a combination including a silicon microphone and an electret microphone for the hearing device input. Low frequencies thus can be acquired by the silicon microphone and high frequencies can be acquired by the electret microphone, in order to generate a wide-band hearing device input signal. The fact that a silicon microphone possesses a lower internal noise than a conventional electret microphone at low frequencies is utilized.
