    摘要: A PC card adapter and an I/O adapter as expansion devices respectively have discrimination circuits for outputting discrimination signals. A computer body has an expansion connector commonly used for the PC card adapter and the I/O card adapter, and an I/O controller. A selected one of the PC card adapter and the I/O adapter is connected to the expansion connector. The I/O controller has an input/output section commonly used for the PC card adapter and the I/O adapter and corresponding to the expansion connector, and a bus switching circuit for switching bus signal lines for input/output processing of interface signals input/output through the input/output section. With this arrangement, in a computer system using a plurality of types of expansion devices such as a PC card slot, a printer port, and a serial communication port, the number of input/output pins and the number of connectors of each controller for interfacing between a corresponding expansion device and the computer body can be decreased, thereby realizing reductions in the size and cost of the system.

    摘要: Sample cups containing serum are removably loaded in a plurality of annular holders flexibly connected to make up a slidable chain which is moved through a limited path and passes a sampling position. Ion-selecting electrodes and a reference electrode are slightly spaced from the sampling position. A predetermined amount of serum in the sample cup that has arrived at the sampling position is distributed to a measurement tank. The electromotive force based on the ion to be measured is detected, and the ion concentration is printed out on a printer on the basis of the detection result. Normally, samples sequentially arriving at the sampling position are distributed to the measurement tank for continual analysis. Upon receipt of an emergency sample, an interruption switch on the operation panel is depressed for transmitting an interruption measurement command to a control section. After completion of the ongoing measurement of an ordinary sample, the chain motion is stopped with the particular sample kept at the sampling position, which sample is replaced manually by the emergency sample. A wide open sapce is provided around the sampling position to facilitate sample cup removal from and insertion into the holder. Depressing the start switch with the emergency sample at the sampling position, only the emergency sample is analyzed, after which the analyzer is stopped again. The interruption measurement command is cancelled by the interruption switch and the start switch is turned on, thus restarting continual measurement of ordinary samples.

    摘要: Apparatus for producing timing signals for photometric measurement by utilizing light transmitted through samples to be analyzed. The apparatus comprises a light source, a group of sample containing cells, a driving mechanism for moving the sample cells relative to the light source, a concave diffraction grating for dispersing light transmitted through the sample cell, a first photo-detector for receiving a light beam of a predetermined wave length from the concave diffraction grating, a second photo-detector to receive light beams of the zero spectral order subjected to the total refrection at the concave diffraction grating, a signal hold circuit for holding an electric signal available from the first photo-detector, and a command circuitry which responds to the signal held by the hold circuit to produce signals which resets the hold circuit to release the held signal on one hand and on the other hand allows a read-out and/or record apparatus to read out and/or record the peak value of the signal held by the signal hold circuit. A delay circuit may be provided to delay the operation of the command circuit in order that an analog-to-digital conversion of the peak value signal be effected before the read-out thereof.
