    摘要: A vehicle is equipped with a four wheel drive system having a transfer, a four wheel steer system for steering front wheels and rear wheels, a sensor for sensing a condition of a driving torque distribution between the front wheels and rear wheels, by sensing a condition of the four wheel drive system, and a controller for controlling a rear wheel steer angle in accordance with the condition of the driving torque distribution by commanding the four wheel steer system in such a manner as to maintain the desirable weak understeer characteristic irrespective of change in the driving torque distribution at least when a vehicle speed is greater than a predetermined value.

    摘要: In an automotive manual transmission including a common fork shaft on and along which shift forks are slidable, a control rod rotatable about and slidable along the axis thereof which is normal to the axis of the fork shaft, a pivoting pin extending normal to both the axes of the common fork shaft and the control rod, a supporting member removably connected to the transmission housing and mounting therein the pivoting pin, pivoting levers pivotally supported by the pivoting pin and jointly engaged at their one ends with the corresponding shift forks to induce sliding movements of the shift forks in response to rotational movements thereof, a selecting head member secured to the control rod to be movable therewith, the head member being brought into engagement with the other end of the selected one of the pivoting levers upon rotation of the control rod into an angular position, and an interlock plate rotatably mounted on the control rod to ensure that only the selected pivoting lever is rotatable at any given time, there is provided an improved select detent mechanism which comprises a plate secured to the supporting member and having a notched surface formed thereon and a spring-biased detent ball device mounted to the interlock plate, the arrangement being such that the detent ball is biased toward the notched surface of the plate to engage with the same.

    摘要: Herein disclosed is an improved direction changing mechanism used in a shift control mechanism of a transverse manual transmission. The direction changing mechanism comprises a drive member movable together with the control rod; and at least one driven member movable together with the shift fork. The driven member is formed with a rectangular recess into which a head portion of the drive member is insertable under a certain condition so that upon selecting operation, the head portion of the drive member is put in the recess of the driven member and upon shifting operation, the head portion of the drive member abuts against one of the side walls of the recess thereby to move the driven member in a certain direction thereby completing a gear coupling. The head portion of the drive member is so sized and constructed that when the drive member assumes its rest or neutral position, the head portion is spacedly put in the recess without contacting the driven member, while, when the drive member assumes its operative position to complete the gear coupling, the head portion contact both the side walls of the recess.

The shift control mechanism comprises a supporting member removably connected to the transmission housing, a pivoting pin supported by the supporting member and having an axis which is normal to both the axes of the common fork shaft and the control rod, a plurality of pivoting levers pivotally mounted by the pivoting pin so as to be pivotable about the axis of the pivoting pin, one end of each pivotting lever being pivotally jointed with an extension of the corresponding one of the shift forks to cause movement of the corresponding shift fork on and along the common fork shaft upon pivoting movement of the pivotting lever, and a head member secured to the control rod, the head member being brought into engagement with the other end of each pivoting lever upon rotational movement of the control rod about its axis into a given position.
