Abstract:
In some example embodiments there is provided a method. The method may include determining, by a user equipment, whether at least one wireless local area network access point allows aggregation with cellular; and selecting, by the user equipment based on the determination, to couple to the at least one wireless local area network access point to enable the aggregation with cellular. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for sending, by a user equipment, an indication of whether there is an intent to receive a multimedia broadcast multicast service; and receiving, by the user equipment in response to the sent indication, measurement configuration information for a multicast broadcast single-frequency network. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for BLER measurements. In one aspect there is provided a method. The method may include performing, by a user equipment, a block error rate measurement on a channel of a multicast broadcast single-frequency network; and associating a metric with the block error rate measurement, wherein the metric comprises at least one of a reliability metric or an inaccuracy metric. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments generally relate to WiFi radio availability information, such as, but not limited to methods, apparatuses, and systems for providing WiFi radio availability information for WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network)/3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project) radio interworking purposes. For example, the method may include determining an availability of a non-cellular access, which is interworking with a cellular access, for an user equipment. The method may also include deciding whether to off-load at least part of the traffic of the user equipment to the non-cellular access based at least in part on the determined availability.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for interworking. In one aspect there is provided a method. The method may include receiving interworking information, wherein the interworking information comprises at least one rule associated with network access; and receiving information from a network, wherein the information describes how to use the at least one rule associated with network access. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.
Abstract:
Mechanism on configured grant transmissions is provided. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, after transmitting a configured grant transmission to the network device, the terminal device receives a response to the configured grant transmission. In some embodiments, if the response comprises a timing advance command, the timer for validity of the configured grant transmission is stopped. Alternatively, if the response does not comprise a timing advance command, the timer for validity of the configured grant transmission is stopped and the resources for the configured grant transmission are released. In this way, the terminal device only needs to maintain one timer during the configured grant transmission procedure.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses, and computer readable storage media of procedure selection for SDT. The method comprises receiving, from a second device, information for a Small Data Transmission, SDT, procedure initiation, the information at least indicating at least one criterion for initiating a mobile terminated type SDT procedure; and determining the initiation of the mobile terminated type SDT procedure based on the information. In this way, separate conditions can be configured for MO-SDT and MT-SDT initiation. Furthermore, the MT-SDT initiation conditions can be different depending on whether there is UL data transmission since the transport Block Size (TBS) for random access message could be different.
Abstract:
There is provided an apparatus, a method and a computer program product. In accordance with an embodiment the method for a user equipment comprises evaluating if any measurement relaxation condition is fulfilled; continuing measurement relaxation after the state transition or providing an indication regarding fulfilment of one or more measurement relaxation conditions. In accordance with an embodiment the method for a network element comprises performing a state transition of a user equipment; receiving from the user equipment indication if any measurement relaxation condition is fulfilled; determining whether to allow the user equipment to continue the measurement relaxation when one or more measurement relaxation conditions are fulfilled by the user equipment or provide an indication to a network that one or more measurement relaxation conditions are fulfilled by the apparatus; and providing an indication to the user equipment whether to continue measurement relaxation or provide an indication regarding the measurement relation conditions
Abstract:
Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to resource selections of random access procedure. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, when a random access procedure is triggered for a certain feature combination, the terminal device determines the random access channel (RACH) partition to use based on a defined priority order of (RACH-partition) features whenever a RACH partition that would have matched the feature combination for which the RA procedure is triggered is not provided in the cell. The priority order could be pre-defined in the standards, provided by the Mobile Network Operators (MNO), or signaled dynamically by the network via system information or dedicated signaling (e.g., radio resource control (RRC) or medium access control (MAC) signaling). In this way, better resource selections may be achieved. Moreover, it does not need to configure resources for any possible combinations of features.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to communication for SDT. A first device transmits a resume request for SDT to a second device. The second device transmits, to the first device, a message for rejecting the resume request for a part of data transmissions, said part including SDT. In this way, a resume procedure for non-SDT may still be possible. Further, not congested resources for SDT or non-SDT may be used even in case of RRC reject procedure. In addition, services may be not delayed.
