Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer program for causing a receiver to perform: receiving, at a lower protocol layer of the receiver from a lower protocol layer of a transmitter, an indication of when a first retransmission mechanism between the transmitter and receiver at the lower protocol layer will terminate; causing retransmission of a data packet according to the first retransmission mechanism; determining, at the lower protocol layer of the receiver using the received indication, that the first retransmission mechanism has been completed in respect of the data packet; and signaling, from the lower protocol layer of the receiver to a radio link control, RLC, protocol layer of the receiver, an indication that the data packet has not been received.

Abstract: A network node allocates primary frequency resources and at least one secondary frequency resource to a user equipment (UE) within a dynamically changing bandwidth (BW) of a cell served by the network node. The network node further configures the UE to use the primary frequency resources for an UL transmission when the primary frequency resources fall within an UL part of the BW, and to use the secondary frequency resource for the UL transmission when the primary frequency resources fall, at least partly, within a downlink (DL) part and/or a Guard Band (GB) of the BW, and/or fall, at least partly, outside the BW. The UE may dynamically, based on such configuration from the network node, adapt its resource allocation to perform the UL transmission even if the primary frequency resources are not fully within the UL part of the BW in a current time resource.

Abstract: A method includes detecting (205), in a first communications apparatus, the number of failed code blocks in a transport block transmitted to the first apparatus from a second apparatus and a corresponding feedback size indicator. The feedback size indicator is received in the first apparatus from the second apparatus e.g. via control channel signalling. Alternatively, the feedback size indicator is received in the transport block. The first apparatus selects the format of a HARQ feedback message to be generated based on the feedback size indicator, and generates the feedback message based on the number of failed code blocks in the transport block. The generated feedback message is of the selected format and indicates the failed code blocks in the transport block. The first apparatus transmits the generated feed back message to the second apparatus.
