    摘要: A rotor of a motor includes a plurality of sets of permanent magnets 8a, 8b embedded in the rotor. Each includes a permanent magnet at an inner side and another permanent magnet at an outer side with a distance between them. Each permanent magnet 8a, 8b is formed like an arch projecting towards the center of the rotor. Magnetic flux flows easily through an interval between the permanent magnets at inner and outer sides, and the inductance in a q-axis is enlarged. Then, the reluctance torque is generated in addition to the magnet torque, and the motor has a high torque and a high output power.

    摘要: A concealable wiper apparatus for a vehicle has a wiper assembly disposed in such a manner that the wiper assembly can be accommodated in an accommodating chamber provided inside the body of the vehicle and in the vicinity of a window glass. The wiper assembly is vertically moved between an accommodated position at which it is accommodated in the accommodating chamber and a raised position at which the wiper assembly wipes the window glass. In addition, a wiper arm which supports a wiper blade that wipes the window glass is adapted to be capable of expansion and contraction. Accordingly, when the wiper is not used, the wiper apparatus is accommodated in the accommodating chamber, so that it is possible to minimize the air resistance to the vehicle and reduce the size of the accommodating chamber.

    摘要: A foot-operated device for controlling a parking brake wherein a parking brake pedal is locked in its operated position through engagement of a pawl member with ratchet teeth. The pawl member is pivotally connected to the brake pedal, and the ratchet teeth are formed on a bracket fixed to a vehicle frame. The parking brake is released when a pedal pad pivotally connected to the brake pedal is pivoted on the pedal and the pedal is depressed. The pedal pad has an extension arm protruding toward the pawl member which is biased by a spring device in a first direction to cause the pawl member to engage the ratchet teeth while the pedal pad is placed in its original position. The extension arm directly engages the spring device to change the biasing direction thereof from the first direction to a second direction so that the pawl disengages from the ratchet teeth when the pedal pad is pivoted to its operated position. The biasing force in the second direction is selected to be smaller than an engagement force existing between the pawl member and the ratchet teeth.
