摘要: A multi-layer laminate media is provided on which information may be applied in machine or human readable form on a visible front surface by the output of one or more lasers, or other high intensity light source. In a preferred embodiment, the media has three layers including a substrate, a thermochromic layer and a light absorbent layer such as carbon black located intermediate the media substrate and the thermochromic layer. The light absorbent layer is adapted to absorb light from the light source and convert the absorbed light into heat. The heat is immediately conducted into selected portions of the thermochromic layer which is in thermal contact with the light absorbent layer, causing portions of the thermochromic layer to change visual appearance such as color to create the desired mark. The invention includes a method and apparatus for using the media in conjunction with labeling produce items.

摘要: A system and method for remotely controlling an increased number of subsystems having an onboard locomotive control unit (LCU) and two associated operator control units (OCUs) on a single wireless channel. A time slot is assigned to each subsystem for making two-way transmissions to control the locomotive. A signal from an external timing source synchronizes each subsystem to minimize interference between transmissions from different subsystems. Time slots are assigned manually or automatically over a wireless network or by the LCU after monitoring the channel. The LCU automatically selects the direct or repeater transmission path depending upon whether or not it receives polling message responses from its associated OCUs. A GPS receiver in each subsystem receives the synchronization signal and provides geographic positioning data so the LCU can determine when to execute predefined, position-based commands. The secondary OCU may be turned off and rejoined to the subsystem without ceasing operation.

摘要: The present invention relates to an aqueous pharmaceutical formulation comprising at least one latrunculin and the formulation does not contain a substantial amount of dimethyl sulfoxide. In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to an aqueous pharmaceutical formulation comprising at least one latrunculin in an amount of 0.001-2% w/v, a non-ionic surfactant in an amount of 0.01-2% w/v, and a tonicity agent to maintain a tonicity between 200-400 mOsm/kG, at a pH between 4 to 8, wherein the latrunculin, the surfactant, and the tonicity agent are compatible in the formulation, and the formulation does not contain a substantial amount of dimethyl sulfoxide. The formulation is stable for at least six month at refrigerated temperature. The present invention further provides a method of reducing intraocular pressure, a method of treating glaucoma, a method of inhibiting wound healing after trabeculectomy, and a method of inhibiting angiogenesis.
