Abstract: A method of welding surface-treated members together using a welding wire includes a step of transferring a droplet detached from the wire to the members; and a step of pushing the melt pool in the direction opposite to the direction of welding in such a manner that the gas generated from the members during welding is released from the site of generation. The melt pool is pushed to expose the overlapped region of these members. The gas generated from the members is released to the exposed portion, preventing generation of pores such as blowholes, and also generation of spatters.

Abstract: To provide a compact welding torch in which a motor can be easily replaced, in which, when a motor capable of high-speed welding is used for a long time in a high current region, heat generated by the motor can be sufficiently cooled, and in which the motor can be protected from spatters or the like.
A first cooler that cools a first side surface of a motor parallel to a shaft of the motor and a second cooler that cools a second side surface of the motor different from the first side surface are included. The first cooler has a first inflow port and a first outflow port for a cooling fluid, and a first flow passage that connects the first inflow port and the first outflow port. The second cooler has a second inflow port and a second outflow port for the cooling fluid, and a second flow passage that connects the second inflow port and the second outflow port. The first outflow port and the second inflow port open in a direction crossing the shaft of the motor and are connected to each other directly or indirectly.-

Abstract: A laser welding method according to the present disclosure includes a coupling forming step and a welding step. In the coupling forming step, a T coupling is formed by superimposing a side surface of a first member and a lower surface of a second member on each other. In the welding step, an upper surface of the second member opposite to the lower surface is irradiated with a laser beam so that the first member and the second member are welded to each other by the laser beam. Moreover, in the welding step, the laser beam is moved in a direction along the side surface of the first member while being weaved.

Abstract: A laser welding method according to the present disclosure includes a step in which a third material is interposed between a first material and a second material, which are made of the same type of metal so as to be weldable to one another, and at least one of which is provided with a protruding portion, wherein the third material is difficult to weld to the first material and the second material and has a through-hole portion into which the protruding portion is inserted. The method also includes a step in which, when the third material is interposed between the first material and the second material, a region corresponding to the protruding portion is irradiated with a laser beam from the first material side, and the first material and the second material are welded via the through-hole portion. In the step in which the third material is interposed between the first material and the second material, a first gap is provided between the protruding portion and the inner peripheral face of the through-hole portion, and a second gap corresponding to the plate thickness of the first material is provided between the first material and the second material in the region corresponding to the protruding portion.

Abstract: An arc-welding method in welding by repeating a short circuit and an arc. When the sign of opening of the short circuit is detected, the welding current is reduced from a first current value at the detection of the sign to a second current value, which is lower than the first current value. When the opening of the short circuit is detected, a pulse current having a peak value higher than the first current value is supplied at a plurality of times in the arc period. This suppresses porosities and spatters when galvanized steel sheets are welded.

Abstract: In arc welding, determining a current value to be high in an early stage of the arc period is effective in reducing spatters caused by feeble short circuit in the arc period. In that case, to sharply decrease the voltage that has increased with increase in current, an inductance value of a reactor has to be kept small. However, a small inductance value causes a problem—weakness against disturbance. The present invention provides an arc welding control method that performs arc welding while repeating the short-circuit period and the arc period. According to the method, changing an inductance value relating to welding output in the arc period offers stable arc welding with fewer spatters and insusceptibility to disturbance.
