摘要: A method of overhaul of a component includes a) scanning a component using computed tomography to provide first scanned data, b) comparing the first scanned data to reference data to provide additive manufacturing data, c) depositing material on the component using an additive manufacturing device based upon the additive manufacturing data to provide a first object, d) scanning the first object using structural light scan to provide second scanned data, and determining predicted characteristics of the first object based upon the second scanned data of step a), e) comparing the predicted characteristics of the first object to the reference data to provide machining data and f) machining the first object using the machining data. A system for overhauling the component is also disclosed.

摘要: A component includes a first part in which a first junction part is configured, a second part in which a second junction part and a cross junction part intersecting the second junction part are configured. The second junction part and the first junction part are welded at a preceding weld. The component also includes a third part in which a third junction part is configured. A part of the third junction part is overlapped with an opposite part of the first junction part, a remaining part of the third junction part is overlapped with the cross junction part, and the first part and the second part are welded to the third part at a following weld at each of the overlapped parts.

摘要: A joint structure includes a first material (1), a second material (2) weldable to the first material, and a third material (3) at least a portion of which being sandwiched between the first material and the second material, having a through opening portion at the sandwiched portion, and including a material that is difficult to be welded to both the first material and the second material, the first material and the second material welded the via through opening portion. At least one of the first material and the second material is provided with a protrusion (14) inserted in the through opening portion. A first gap (4) is provided between an inner peripheral surface of the through opening portion and the protrusion. A second gap (5) is provided between the first material and the second material, the second gap having a size depending on a plate thickness of the first material in a region corresponding to the protrusion. Under a condition in which the second gap has a size of greater than or equal to 0.1 mm but less than or equal to 40% of the plate thickness of the first material in the region, the first material and the second material are welded by emitting a laser beam from a side on which the first material is disposed.

摘要: The disclosed technology generally relates to welding, and more particularly to welding multi-layered structures. In an aspect, a method of welding multi-layered metallic workpieces comprises providing a pair of multi-layered workpieces. Each of the workpieces has a base layer and an cladding layer, where the cladding layer comprises a corrosion resistant element adapted to suppress corrosion in a ferrous alloy. The method additionally comprises forming a root pass weld bead to join cladding layers of the workpieces using a first filler wire comprising the corrosion resistant element and focusing a first laser beam on the cladding layers. The method additionally comprises forming one or more weld beads to join base layers of the workpieces by resistively heating a second filler wire and directing a second laser beam over the root pass weld bead. The method is such that a concentration of the corrosion-resistant element in the one or more weld beads is less than 50% of a concentration of the corrosion-resistant element in the root pass weld bead.
