    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) millimeter wave (mmW) communications of two or more MIMO streams via two or more beams. A sequential technique may be used for configuring MIMO communications, in which analog RF beamforming parameters are determined based on reference signal measurements during a beam sweeping procedure. Then, digital baseband beamforming parameters may be determined and used for baseband processing of two or more MIMO streams. The digital baseband beamforming parameters may include baseband precoding parameters used for transmitting the two or more MIMO streams on the two or more beams, and baseband combiner parameters used for receiving the two or more MIMO streams on the two or more beams.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first transmit receive point (TRP), a downlink control information (DCI) communication, the UE being included in a multi-TRP configuration with the first TRP and a second TRP. The UE may determine information unique to the first TRP. The information unique to the first TRP may be at least one of associated with the DCI communication or included in the DCI communication. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence initialization code, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the information unique to the first TRP. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the downlink scrambling sequence initialization code associated with the first TRP.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) for multiple beam transmissions. In an example, a first CSI-RS triggering state of one or more CSI-RS triggering states indicates a CSI-RS resource set and associated transmission configuration indication (TCI) states. The CSI-RS resource set includes a plurality of CSI-RS resources. Each CSI-RS resource of the plurality of CSI-RS resources is associated with one or more corresponding TCI states as indicated by the first CSI-RS triggering state. A first CSI-RS resource of the plurality of CSI-RS resources is associated with a first plurality of TCI states as indicated by the first CSI-RS triggering state.

    Abstract: A configuration is disclosed to enable a UE to determine and/or prepare Rx beams prior to downlink reception in multi-TRP operation. The apparatus sends, to a first TRP, a report indicating a plurality of threshold scheduled offsets. Each threshold scheduled offset associated with a different number of TCI states. The apparatus receives, from the first TRP, DCI including a TCI and a time-offset. The TCI comprising at least one TCI state. Each TCI state indicating a Tx beam for a TRP of a set of TRPs. The set of TRPs including the first TRP. The apparatus determines at least one Rx beam based on at least one of the received TCI, the time-offset, or one or more of the plurality of threshold scheduled offsets. The apparatus receives, based on the received time-offset, a PDSCH from each TRP of the set of TRPs through the determined at least one Rx beam.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently identifying a receive beam for performing a listen before talk (LBT) procedure in an attempt to gain access to a transmission opportunity (TxOP) in a shared radio frequency spectrum. In particular, a wireless device may select a receive beam that corresponds to one or more transmit beams to be used in a TxOP to perform an LBT procedure in an attempt to gain access to the TxOP. In one example, the wireless device may select a receive beam for performing an LBT procedure based on the energy of each of the transmit beams to be used in a TxOP. In another example, the wireless device may select a receive beam for performing an LBT procedure if the receive beam is quasi co-located with each of the transmit beams to be used in a TxOP.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device such as a user equipment (UE) or a base station may identify a beam switching capability of the UE, the beam switching capability indicating a threshold quantity of beam switches during a transmission time interval, a threshold quantity of symbol periods between beam switching operations, or a combination thereof. The device may determine that the beam switching capability of the UE is satisfied based at least in part on one or more parameters (e.g., one or more symbol period durations, one or more quantities of beam switches during a transmission time interval, one or more adjustment parameters, one or more threshold values associated with the capability of the UE, etc.). The device may perform one or more beam switching operations based on determining that the beam switching capability is satisfied.
