    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for environment sensing. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) performs a monostatic sensing operation to detect one or more characteristics of one or more objects in an environment of the UE, transmits, to a network entity, based on detection of the one or more characteristics of the one or more objects, a request for one or more network nodes to transmit one or more wireless sensing signals to assist the UE to perform a bistatic sensing operation, and performs the bistatic sensing operation based on reception of the one or more wireless sensing signals to detect additional characteristics of the one or more objects.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided which may be implemented using various methods and/or apparatuses to provide augmented reality assistance. An example method includes obtaining a location of the mobile device, and obtaining local rules based on the location of the mobile device. The method also includes obtaining one or more images of an environment in proximity to the mobile device, identifying one or more areas of the environment in the one or more images based on the local rules, and displaying augmented reality (AR) assistance at the mobile device, wherein the AR assistance is based on the identified one or more areas of the environment.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a network node may determine an estimated location of a user equipment (UE) that is served by a serving base station (BS). The network node may determine a dilution of precision (DOP) requirement with respect to the UE. The network node may determine at least one reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) that satisfies the DOP requirement with respect to the UE. The network node may send at least one configuration message to configure the at least one RIS to reflect positioning reference signals to or from the UE. In another aspect, a UE may determine a DOP requirement with respect to the UE. The UE may send at least one configuration message to select at least one RIS that satisfies the DOP requirement with respect to the UE to reflect positioning reference signals to or from the UE.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided which may be implemented using various methods and/or apparatuses in a mobile device to crowd source mobile terrestrial transceiver identifiers associated with mobile terrestrial transports. In an embodiment, transceiver identifiers associated with mobile terrestrial transports may be identified and tracked through the detection and measurement of signals transmitted by mobile terrestrial transceivers received either by mobile devices located on the mobile terrestrial transport or through the detection and measurement of transient signals transmitted by passing mobile terrestrial transceivers received by stationary or near stationary mobile devices. The identity of detected mobile terrestrial transceivers and their locations and time observed may be uploaded to a server. The crowdsourced location and schedule information for the mobile terrestrial transports may be downloaded to mobile devices to provide transportation information such as arrival times, departure alerts, targeted stop alerts and other transport related functionality.

    Abstract: Disclosed embodiments facilitate efficient positioning of stations (STAs) one wireless networks. A method on an Access Point may determine, at a first time, availability of the Access Point (AP) for positioning; and transmit, based at least in part, on the determination, information indicative of the AP's availability for positioning. The transmitted information may comprise one or more of: STA-AP location determination availability, STA-AP location determination capability, whether AP-AP positioning is being performed; and/or the next scheduled AP-AP ranging session. In some embodiments, a STA may initiate location determination to determine a location of the STA based, at least in part, on indications of availability for positioning for one or more Access Points (APs) communicatively coupled to the STA. Each indication of availability may correspond to a distinct AP of the one or more APs, and the location determination may comprise either: STA-AP location determination, or passive location determination.
