    Abstract: A phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) may be enhanced to carry data encoded with a relative low modulation and coding scheme (MCS). A receive device may receiving a data channel, the data channel including a transport block encoded using a first MCS. The receiving device may receiving a PTRS interleaved with the data channel. The PTRS is encoded with the second MCS that is lower than the first MCS. The receiving device may decode the PTRS to determine PTRS data. The receiving device may track phase noise using the PTRS data as a transmitted sequence of the PTRS. The receiving device may decode the transport block for the data channel based on the first MCS and the tracked phase noise.

    Abstract: Aspects presented herein may improve beam management and neighbor cell(s) monitoring related characteristics on a UE side, which may include improved power consumption, configuration volume reduction, and more robust and efficient beam tracking procedures for UEs receiving and monitoring SSBs transmitted by a base stations. In one aspect, a UE is configured to apply an SSB IDs classification based on a systematic mapping configuration that maps a set of SSB IDs to a plurality of SSB beams of a network entity, each SSB beam of the plurality of SSB beams being associated with one SSB ID of the set of SSB IDs and covering a range of azimuth angles and a range of elevation angles. Based on the mapping configuration and the semi-deterministic SSB beams sweeping pattern, the UE may classify SSB IDs into different categories and prioritize and deprioritize measurements for one or more SSB IDs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, the first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a control message indicating a set of pre-equalization transmission schemes supported by the first wireless device for receipt of messaging pre-equalized by the second wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit a measurement report that indicates a measurement of a wireless channel between the first wireless device and the second wireless device, where the measurement may be a signal-to-interference and noise (SINR) measurement. The first wireless device may receive a control signal indicative of a first pre-equalization transmission scheme to be used by the second wireless device for pre-equalization based at least in part on the set of pre-equalization transmission schemes and the measurement. The first wireless device may receive, via the wireless channel, a downlink message pre-equalized in accordance with the first pre-equalization transmission scheme.
