Abstract:
The disclosure provides a mechanism where a user equipment (UE) may communicate with a neighbor UE of the UE's neighbor UE by utilizing the UE's neighbor UE as a relay for the communication between the UE and the neighbor UE of the UE's neighbor UE. In an aspect, the first UE receives a discovery message from a second UE, the discovery message including information about 1-hop neighbor UEs of the second UE. The first UE determines to communicate with a third UE based on the discovery message, the third UE being one of the 1-hop neighbor UEs of the second UE. The first UE requests the second UE to operate as a relay for communication between the first UE and the third UE. The first UE communicates with the third UE through the second UE.
Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) may be outside of the coverage area of a base station or other access point, which may impede access by the UE of a core network, server, or the like. Therefore, a UE may establish a relay connection to access resources when the UE is outside of a coverage area provided by a base station or access point. In aspects, an apparatus may be configured to transmit, to a set of relay UEs, a first message associated with establishment of a relay connection. The apparatus may be further configured to receive a set of messages from the set of relay UEs. The apparatus may be further configured to establish the relay connection with a first relay UE of the set of relay UEs based on a message of the set of messages from the first relay UE.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus. The apparatus may be configured to receive a first request to report a list of UEs satisfying a set of restriction criteria, the first request being associated with an AF. The apparatus may further be configured to receive a set of UE IDs associated with the AF. The apparatus may also be configured to identify a subset of the set of UE IDs that satisfy the set of restriction criteria. The apparatus may further be configured to transmit an indication of the subset of the set of UE IDs.
Abstract:
A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for a network entity. The network entity receives an analytics request from a consumer, the analytics request indicating at least one analytic and determines one or more network data analytics functions (NWDAFs) for the analytics request based on the at least one analytic indicated in the analytics request. A consumer sends an analytics request to a network entity including one or more analytics identifiers. The consumer receives, from the network entity, a response to the analytics request including an analytics output from one or more NWDAFs based on the analytics identifier(s) included in the analytics request. An NWDAF sends an analytics identifier registration to a network entity indicating one or more analytics supported by the NWDAF. Then, the NWDAF receives an analytics request(s) from consumer(s) via the network entity based on the NWDAF supporting an analytic in the analytics request.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may determine whether the UE is inside or outside of a vehicle with a relay device. Techniques for determining whether the UE is inside or outside of the vehicle are described herein. The UE may determine whether to camp on a cell of the relay device based on whether the UE is inside or outside the vehicle. The base station may perform connected mode mobility for the UE based on whether the UE is inside or outside the vehicle.
Abstract:
Embodiments of systems and methods for configuring network services to support an application may include launching an application that will communicate with a network element to perform an application operation, sending a service request to a uniform resource locator (URL) associated with a data handling service that supports the application operation in response to launching the application, wherein the service request is configured to cause activation of the data handling service, and performing the application operation using communications received from the network element that are supported by the data handling service. In some embodiments the service request may be sent to the URL associated with the data handling service automatically in response to launching the application. The activation of the data handling service may occur in the UE, in a communication network, or both. The application may be a portal application. The network element may include a network service provider.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, via a first cell, multicast radio bearer (MRB) configuration information indicating one or more MRB configurations for receiving multicast communications. The UE may receive, via a second cell, a multicast communication based at least in part on an MRB configuration of the one or more MRB configurations. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes performing a mobility procedure to establish a connection in a target radio access technology (RAT) while maintaining a context established in a source RAT, wherein one of the source RAT or target RAT is a terrestrial network (TN) RAT and the other is a non-terrestrial network (NTN) RAT and sending a tracking area update (TAU) request after establishing the connection in the target RAT.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a registration request for restricted access (RA), wherein the registration request selectively includes an onboarding access request. The UE may selectively communicate with an onboarding network to authenticate and authorize a particular network based at least in part on whether the registration request includes the onboarding access request. The UE may complete the RA registration after transmitting the registration request and based at least in part on selectively communicating with the onboarding network to authenticate and authorize the particular network. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more standalone nonpublic network (SNPN) roaming groups, associated with a network to which the UE is subscribed, and one or more SNPNs to which the UE is not subscribed. The UE may determine that a transmission from an SNPN identifies an SNPN roaming group identifier associated with one of the one or more SNPN roaming groups or identifies an SNPN identifier associated with one of the one or more SNPNs. The UE may register with the SNPN based at least in part on determining that the transmission identifies the SNPN roaming group identifier or the SNPN identifier. Numerous other aspects are provided.
