    摘要: An asynchronous digital sample rate converter includes a random access memory for storing input data values and a read only memory for storing a reduced set of interpolation filter coefficients. Input data is written to the random access memory at the input sample rate. Output samples are provided from a multiply/accumulate engine which given a stream of input data and filter coefficients produces an output sample upon request at the output frequency. The initial address for reading input data from the random access memory, and the addresses for coefficients from the read only memory are provided by an auto-centering scheme which is a first order closed loop system with a digital integrator fed by an approximation of the input to output sample rate ratio. This auto-centering scheme may include a feed forward low pass filter to cancel steady state error, and an interpolated write address to reduce noise. A circuit determining the output to input sample rate ratios can also be provided to scale coefficient addresses and resulting output samples to allow for decimation. This circuit includes a form of digital hysteresis to eliminate noise. The ROM coefficients are reduced by relying on the symmetry of the impulse response of the interpolation filter and by utilizing a variable step size forward and backward linear interpolation.

    摘要: A switched-capacitor DAC system includes two switched-capacitor DACs and a load circuit. The switched-capacitor filter of the first DAC samples a reference voltage source, which produces a reference voltage, at a first rate and the switched-capacitor filter of the second DAC samples the reference voltage source at a second rate, greater than the first rate. The load circuit samples the reference voltage source at a rate such that the level of the reference voltage is the same each time a sample is taken. The load circuit effectively equates the sampling of the two filters and substantially eliminates problems related to gain errors and low frequency quantization noise.

    摘要: A separate filter circuit is inserted between the D/A converter and the summing junction in the feedback path of a conventional sigma delta modulator. This additional filter allows control of the quantization noise transfer function profile independently of the forward signal transfer function. By proper tailoring of the transfer functions a third or higher order modulator can be constructed without instability developing. The modulator can also be constructed as a completely digital circuit and used as a noise shaping circuit in a digital digital-to-analog converter.

    摘要: A portable electronic scoreboard comprising a housing with a display face, an electronic mechanism disposed within the housing, and a score registering assembly. The housing back configuration is amenable to releasable attachment to a pole or a flat surface such as a wall. The housing back face configuration comprises a longitudinal channel capable of disposition adjacent to a pole and a strap fastener extendable about the pole. The housing back configuration also comprises a pair of flat surfaced wings having slots capable of receiving bolts of the like to secure the housing to a wall. The score registering assembly may be positioned to detect the successful passage of a basketball through a basketball goal. The score registering assembly comprises a paddle and a switch. The paddle actuates the switch if a basketball passing through the goal causes the paddle to change from a ready to a reactive position. The switch thereby detects successful scores and communicates such scores to the electronic mechanism for processing and display. The score registering assembly also comprises a self-locking adjustable arm attachment assembly for securing the score registering assembly to the basketball goal. The arms of the attachment assembly are laterally adjustable and configured with grooves to permit clamping engagement with the rim plate portion of the basketball goal.

    摘要: An arcade-type foldable basketball game apparatus upon which games may be played using a basketball is provided, having a framework with a support portion and an extended portion pivotally connected to the support portion so that the extended portion is movable between an upright, storage position and a recumbent, ready-to-play position. The support portion is configured to maintain an upright disposition independent of whether the extended portion is disposed in the upright position or the recumbent position. The movement of the extended portion is controlled by a releasable catch and detent assembly for securing the extended portion in either the storage position or the ready-to-play position. One or two basketball goals are connected to the support portion of the framework and a ball return is connected to said framework to return basketballs shot at the goals by players to the players. Each basket scored is counted by a scoring mechanism which displays the time remaining in a game and the running and final scores.
