    摘要: The disclosure describes a user interface that may be used to control ablation therapy and monitor ablation therapy progress in systems that utilize wet electrode ablation techniques. The user interface presents a virtual electrode depth icon to a user that indicates the size of a lesion that may be created with the selected virtual electrode depth. The virtual electrode depth may be changed by the user according to the ablation therapy most appropriate for a patient, and the user may interact with the user interface to define the virtual electrode depth. In this manner, the user interface may be a touchscreen or other input device such as a mouse, pointing device, or keyboard. The user interface may also provide a thermometer icon that represents a patient temperature, a timer icon that represents a remaining time for therapy, and other representations of therapy progress.

    摘要: An implantable medical device system, including an implantable medical device and an associated implant tool. The device has a hermetic housing containing a power source and electronic circuitry. One or more tines are mounted to the housing movable from a first position extending away from the housing to a second position adjacent the housing. The device is provided with a rotational fixation mechanism. The Implant tool includes an elongated sheath sized to receive the device and provided with internal grooves sized to engage with the tines when the tines are located in their second position. The implant tool may further include a push tool located with the sheath and movable within the sheath to advance the device distally out of the sheath. The sheath may be provided with a closed distal end openable by passage of the device therethrough.

In addition, capacitors of the type shown and described herein can be utilized in relatively compact external defibrillators, such as automatic external defibrillators or clinician-grade, automated or manually-operated external defibrillators. In one form a plurality of capacitors having substantially flat exterior surfaces are placed in an abutting relationship between at least a pair of major surfaces and the major surfaces are spaced from an opposing or adjacent surface in a non-parallel configuration. In other forms, one or more exterior surface portions have a common and/or complex radius dimension (i.e., the surfaces are curved).

    摘要: A lead implant system includes a lead coupling device, which is configured to couple a lead during an implant procedure, in communication with a medical device and an implantable medical device, which is contained within a package that includes an electrical interface for electrical coupling with an electrical contact of the implantable medical device. The electrical interface facilitates coupling of the packaged medical device to an electrical contact of another medical device, which is located outside the package. If the electrical contact of the packaged device is mounted within a bore of the device, then the connector structure allows for passage of a sterilizing gas into the connector bore, and past the connector contact, within the bore.
