摘要: A writing pad having a construction wherein two substrates each having electrodes formed on one of the surfaces are disposed in parallel in such a way that their electrodes face one another with a predetermined gap between them. The gap is defined by insulating dot spacers fixed at regular intervals to at least one of the electrode surfaces. The height G of the dot spacers is smaller than 15 .mu.m, the average center distance L between the adjacent dot spacers is smaller than 100 .mu.m, d>G and 3 d

摘要: It is possible to linearly arrange cells and indicate particular data in the order of colors of respective sells. A code system uses an optical symbol decoding method capable of reading the color arrangement if the arrangement continuity and the linear shape are maintained. The data expression method may be other than “the order of colors.” For example, it is possible to employ a method for allocating a numeric value to each of the colors by one-to-one correspondence (R=0, B=1, etc.), a method for allocating data by a color transition (“CM”=“MY”=“YC”=0, “CY”=“YM”=“MC”=1, etc.), a method for allocating data for a combination of colors, and the like.

摘要: A substrate resin having pendant acid groups is produced by copolymerizing an acrylic or methacrylic ester of which alcoholic residue includes a bulky hydrocarbon radical or a soft segment. The substrate resin is then metallized together with an organic mobobasic acid so that both of the pendant acid group and the organic monobasic acid group are bount to the same metal atom. The resulting hydrolyzable metal-containing resin is incorporated into self-polishing antifouling paint formulations together with an antifouling pigment such as cuprous oxide.

摘要: A system for reading two-dimensional code marks on an article includes a camera for imaging the marks and signal processing means coupled to the camera for processing information contained in the marks. The article bears code marks in a fixed-size marking zone on the article surface. Each of the code marks has a pattern of light and dark areas. The code marks are arranged in a matrix patterned unit block; the matrix may be a single row or column as well as rectangular or truncated rectangular. The unit block includes at least one position code which in turn includes code marks denoting an address code, a start code, an end code, and a line feed code. The code marks are preferably each a block of four squares, with each square being bisected by a respective diagonal line to form two triangles. Each triangle in a square may be differently colored (light or dark).
