Provided are a user terminal and a control method therefor. The control method for a user terminal displays multiple relevant images for one image content, displays a first UI for selecting a reproduction time point of the multiple relevant images when a predetermined user interaction is detected, and reproduces the multiple relevant images from a the particular time point when a user interaction selecting the particular time point through the first UI is detected.

A method and apparatus for displaying an image and a computer readable recording medium are provided. The image display apparatus includes: an On Screen Display (OSD) information processor which generates and outputs menu information including an OSD menu for setting an operation of the image display apparatus and, in response to help information relating to a selection menu selected from the OSD menu being requested, generates and outputs the menu information and the help information; a scaler which scales the menu information and the help information provided from the OSD information processor and separately provides the scaled menu information and help information; and a display which receives the scaled menu information and help information from the scaler and respectively displays the menu information and the help information in first and second regions so that the menu information and the help information do not overlap with each other.

A display apparatus, an upgrading apparatus, a display system, and a control method thereof. The display apparatus includes: an image processor which processes an image signal; a display which displays an image based on the processed image signal; a connector to which an upgrading apparatus for processing the image signal is connected; a controller which controls the connector to receive upgrade information about a function to be upgraded from the upgrading apparatus if the upgrading apparatus is connected to the display apparatus through the connector, and controls the display to display the received upgrade information. Thus, a user can easily recognize the functions improved or added by the upgrade as compared with that before the upgrade, and a user may become more comfortable and confident about the upgrade.

A display apparatus is provided, including: an image processor which processes an image signal received from an image source according to a preset image processing process and displays an image on a display; a storage device which stores configuration information; a connector which provides a connection to an upgrade apparatus, which upgrades the preset image processing process; and a controller which controls the display to display a user interface (UI) image to select one of configuration information stored in the upgrade apparatus and configuration information stored in the storage device in response to a determination that the upgrade apparatus is connected to the connector, and controls the upgrade apparatus to upgrade the preset image processing process based on the configuration information selected through the UI image.

The method includes, based on a user input for registering an external device being received, performing capturing through a camera of the electronic apparatus and obtaining an image, identifying a registrable device from among at least one device included in the image based on a signal received from an external device, displaying a graphic object indicating the registrable device in the image, and based on a user input for registering the registrable device being received, registering the registrable device as a controllable device.

A three-dimensional (3D) image providing method and a display apparatus using the same are provided. According to the 3D image providing method, if a particular manipulation is input from a user in the two-dimensional (2D) mode, whether an input image is a 2D image or a 3D image is detected. If the input image is the 3D image, the display mode is changed to the 3D mode and the 3D image is displayed. If the input image is the 2D image, the input 2D image is converted to a 3D image and the converted 3D image is displayed by changing the display mode to the 3D mode. Thus, regardless of whether the input image is the 2D image or the 3D image, users can execute the 3D mode using the single manipulation.

The method of controlling a user terminal device including a display includes displaying a first image content on the display, detecting a touch gesture with respect to the user terminal device, controlling the user terminal device in response to the touch gesture being a single-touch gesture, and transmitting data for controlling a first external apparatus to the first external apparatus in response to the touch gesture being a multi-touch gesture.
