Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods for transmitting an uplink signal and a downlink signal. A method for transmitting an uplink signal comprises detecting whether there is a beam failure; if there is a beam failure, determining at least one of whether there is a candidate downlink transmission beam(s) or candidate downlink transmission beam information; and transmitting a beam failure recovery request message to a base station, the beam failure recovery request message being used for informing the base station of at least one of whether there is a candidate downlink transmission beam(s) or candidate downlink transmission beam information. A method for transmitting a downlink signal comprises detecting a beam failure recovery request message, determining at least one of whether there is a candidate downlink transmission beam(s) or candidate downlink transmission beam information in the UE; and transmitting a feedback message corresponding to the beam failure recovery request message.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A bidirectional communication method and an apparatuses thereof are provided. An uplink control channel and a downlink control channel are respectively transmitted in a first subband and a third subband of an available un-paired spectrum, wherein control channels of reverse directions are transmitted at the same time in the first subband and the third subband, and uplink data and downlink data are transmitted in a time division multiplexing manner in a second subband of the available un-paired spectrum, wherein the first subband and the third subband are on the two ends of the available un-paired spectrum.

Abstract: A filtering-based signal transmission method is provided. The method includes a transmitter performing carrier modulation on each signal from at least one sub-band, and adding a cyclic prefix and a cyclic postfix thereto, respectively, performing time-domain filtering on the signal, added with the cyclic prefix and the cyclic postfix, from the respective sub-band, and transmitting the filtered signal from the at least one sub-band. The present disclosure further provides a filtering-based signal receiving method. The filtering-based signal receiving method includes performing, by a receiver, time-domain matched filtering, corresponding to at least one sub-band, on each received signal, removing, by the receiver, a cyclic prefix and a cyclic postfix from the filtered signal from the at least one sub-band, and performing carrier demodulation, respectively, and detecting and estimating, by the receiver, the demodulated signal from the at least one sub-band.

A transmitting device includes at least one processor configured to estimate an equivalent channel frequency response based on characteristic information of a time-domain filter, estimate an inter-symbol interference based on the equivalent channel frequency response, and generate indication information regarding an adjustment of a location of a receive detection window.
