Abstract: An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a housing, a flexible display having a variable display area including: a visible first region, and a second region that is stowable/extendable, a display driver integrated circuit (DDI), and a processor. The processor implements the method, including: when the housing is disposed in a first state in which the second region is stowed, control the flexible display to display a user interface (UI) screen through the first region based on a first driving frequency and a first light emission frequency, control the flexible display to display a compensation image through the second region based on a second driving frequency and a second light emission frequency, wherein the second driving frequency is equal to or less than the first driving frequency, and the second light emission frequency is less than the first light emission frequency.

Abstract: The present invention can receive a user input comprising a request to perform a task using at least one of the application programs via at least one of a display or a microphone, transmit data related to the user input to an external server through a communication circuit, transmit version information on at least one of the application programs to the external server via the communication circuit together with the data transmission or after the data transmission, receive a pass rule as a response to the request from the external server via the communication circuit, and store instructions that cause an electronic device to perform the task by allowing the electronic device to have the sequence. The pass rule comprises information on a sequence of states of the electronic device for performing the task, and at least one of the states may be one determined by the external server on the basis of at least a portion of the version information.

The analog-to-digital converter circuit converts a first pixel signal to first pixel data and converts a second pixel signal to second pixel data. The average calculator generates a first average bit based on a first bit of the first pixel data and a first bit of the second pixel data during a first time and generates a second average bit based on a second bit of the first pixel data and a second bit of the second pixel data during a second time.

Abstract: An image sensor includes a pixel array including pixels that are arranged in a matrix and respectively generate pixel signals, a row driver to drive the plurality of pixels row by row, a timing generator to generate a clock signal and address signals, a column driver to generate a plurality of column selection signals sequentially activated in response to the clock signal and the address signals, and a column array to receive the pixel signals through a plurality of column lines, perform an analog-to-digital conversion on the pixel signals, and sequentially output pixel data values through an output buffer. The column driver may include a clock tree including first delay elements and second delay elements to generate a plurality of delay clock signals, and a decoding circuit to generate the plurality of column selection signals.

Abstract: Provided are an electronic device and method of voice command processing therefor. The electronic device may include: a housing having a surface; a display disposed in the housing and exposed through the surface; an audio input interface comprising audio input circuitry disposed in the housing; an audio output interface comprising audio output circuitry disposed in the housing; at least one wireless communication circuit disposed in the housing and configured to select one of plural communication protocols for call setup; a processor disposed in the housing and electrically connected with the display, the audio input interface, the audio output interface, the at least one wireless communication circuit, and a codec; and a memory electrically connected with the processor. The memory may store at least one codec supporting multiple modes associated with different frequency bands. The memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform operations comprising: setting up a call using the wireless communication circuit, selecting one of the multiple modes based on the selected communication protocol, selecting a speech recognition model based on the selected mode, receiving a voice command from the outside of the electronic device using the wireless communication circuit, and processing the voice command using the selected speech recognition model.

Abstract: According to certain embodiments, an electronic device comprises a first housing; a second housing; a hinge disposed between the first housing and the second housing such that the second housing is foldable at one end of the first housing; and a flexible display disposed on a surface of the first housing and a surface of the second housing, wherein the flexible display comprises a display panel, and a glass layer disposed on the display panel, such that the display panel is between the glass layer and the surface of the first housing and the surface of the second housing, wherein the glass layer comprises: a bendable portion configured to be flat in an unfolded state when the first housing and the second housing are disposed horizontally adjacent, and to be bent in a folded state when the first housing and the second housing are vertically adjacent; and a first flat portion adjacent to the bending portion to form a boundary and a second flat portion disposed to extend from the first flat portion to an edge of the glass layer, wherein the glass layer comprises a glass member, wherein the glass member has a first thickness in the second flat portion, has a second thickness at the center of the bending portion, and has a third thickness less than the first thickness and greater than the second thickness in a section between the first flat portion and the center of the bending portion, and wherein the thickness of the glass member gradually decreases from the first flat portion to the center of the bending portion forming a concave portion.
