摘要: The disclosure is directed to a method of preparing a recording of a computer program whereby the recording is usable on one and only one preselected computer hardware system. The recording system of the invention comprises a two phase recording process wherein phase one of the system is utilized to record on a permanent memory element all of the basic information to be stored thereon, including a preselected application program for a computer system, as well as additional information containing instructions to make the first computer used in connection with recording a component to complete phase two of the recording process. The second phase recording aspects of the invention complete the recording of each element in an individual recording step on the selected first used computer in a manner to link the operability of the individual recording to the particular, selected first-to-be-used computer machine.

摘要: Lysing may include agitating a specimen in a chamber along with a medium that includes a particulate lysing material that has an affinity for a biological material. Lysing material may include beads or other material which may be coated that facilitates binding. The medium may include a fluid with a high salt or low pH level. Binding of biological materials to solid surfaces may be induced by particular media. The biological material may be eluted by lowering a concentration of salt or increasing a pH level. Lysing materials with two or more different affinities may be employed. Lysing materials may include particles of different sizes. Heating may be used. Lysing may be performed in a flow through apparatus. Surfaces of solid materials may be modified to capture bacteria with high cell wall lipid content.

摘要: An authorization framework located external to an application may be invoked to determine user authorization for a requested application component. Small amounts of supplemental authentication code are added to application code to invoke provider modules within the authentication framework. The provider modules perform authorization functions outside of the application and return authorization results to the application. The functions include determining a user role, determining the permissions associated with the user role, comparing the role permissions to the security defined on the requested application component by a rule, and returning an authorization state to the authentication framework. The supplemental authentication code may invoke one or more providers through provider interfaces that translate requests to a particular provider. Using the provider based authorization framework, authorization for an application component is achieved externally without hard-coding authorization code within the application itself.

摘要: A therapeutic device for thermally assisted urinary function is presented. The therapeutic pad (14) is composed of an upper thermal element (18) and a lower thermal element (19) having a portal (15), both elements substantially cup-shaped to cover and contact the groin. The therapeutic pad (14) is composed of a material sufficiently capable of storing energy from either an external or internal source. The therapeutic pad (14) communicates stored energy as heat to tissues comprising the groin and regions adjacent thereto. The portal (15) allows for the unimpeded flow of urine from the urinary tract into a receptacle. A variety of alternate embodiments are provided, including lift tabs (17a, 17b), an extension element (35) for heating the perineum, a portal sleeve (23) for heating the penis, a slit (34) which bisects the therapeutic pad (14) and portal sleeve (23), a pair of rings (26, 27) to open and close the slit (34), an interior cover (30) about the therapeutic pad (14) for applying moist heat, and support elements (31) along the therapeutic pad (14).

摘要: Exemplary methods and systems provide a relational directory of organizational information. Organizational data objects and their associated attributes are maintained in a relational directory. An organizational hierarchy is converted to a relational directory using projection, joining, and import attribute flow rules. Attributes in a relational directory may be exported out of the relational directory to a hierarchical directory.
