The sealing structure includes a seal that has a lip that extends in an axial direction to engage a radially extending surface on the sealing plate. In one embodiment, the seal is installed in a seal retaining portion formed on the hub shell. In another embodiment, the seal is installed on the freewheel and contacts a radially extending surface on the hub shell.

    摘要: An apparatus for coupling a bicycle disc brake rotor to a bicycle wheel hub is disclosed. The apparatus includes an adapter and a rotor retaining member. The adapter is adapted to be nonrotatably coupled to the bicycle wheel hub and to be nonrotatably coupled to the disc brake rotor. The adapter includes a plurality of axially extending protruding portions adapted to extend through the disc brake rotor to nonrotatably couple the disc brake rotor to the adapter. At least one of the protruding portions has a groove defined therein. A portion of the rotor retaining member is received in the groove in the protruding portion.

The bicycle disc brake rotor assembly includes a rotor and an adaptor and is mounted to the front hub of a bicycle. A caliper mounted to the bicycle's suspension fork grips the rotor. The rotor is a ring-shaped plate, which has brake surfaces that are gripped by the caliper. The adapter is mounted to the front hub and has a deformation that secures the rotor to the hub. External and internal splines on the adapter prevent the rotor from rotating and transmit a braking force exerted on the rotor to the hub, respectively.

    摘要: A sprocket support for a bicycle includes a first outer peripheral surface portion and a second outer peripheral surface portion. The first outer peripheral surface portion is adapted to support an inner peripheral surface of a first sprocket for rotation around an axis, wherein the first outer peripheral surface portion defines at least one radially inwardly extending spline and at least one radially outwardly extending spline. The at least one radially inwardly extending spline has a radially inner surface with a first radially inner distance from the axis, and the at least one radially outwardly extending spline has a radially outer surface with a first radially outer distance from the axis. The second outer peripheral surface portion is adapted to support an inner peripheral surface of a second sprocket for rotation around the axis, wherein the second outer peripheral surface portion defines at least one radially inwardly extending spline and at least one radially outwardly extending spline. The at least one radially inwardly extending spline has a radially inner surface with a second radially inner distance from the axis, and the at least one radially outwardly extending spline has a radially outer surface with a second radially outer distance from the axis. The first radially outer distance is greater than the second radially inner distance and is smaller than the second radially outer distance.

The hub axle and the nut form a bicycle hub axle assembly that is especially configured to permit easy removal and/or installation of a rear derailleur. The hub axle includes a shaft portion having a threaded section at a first axle end and a head portion fixed to a second axle end. The nut has a body portion with a projection extending axially from a frame engaging surface, and a threaded bore threadedly engaged with the threaded section of the shaft portion to secure the bicycle hub axle assembly to the bicycle frame. The projection is configured to engage a slot in a bicycle frame to prevent rotation of the nut relative to the bicycle frame.

The hub body has an outer tubular portion and an interior passageway. The first portion of the hub axle is rotatably supported in the interior passageway. The sprocket support member is mounted on the second portion of the hub axle. The engagement member non-rotatably couples the outer tubular portion to the sprocket support member in an engaged position and is axially movable by the hub axle between the engaged position and a disengaged position. The hub body can be separated from the sprocket support member when the engagement member is in the disengaged position and the first and second portions of the hub axle are released from each other.

    摘要: A first clutch (2) is connected to an engine (1) of a hybrid vehicle. A motor/generator (6) is connected to an output shaft (4) of the first clutch (2) through a planetary gear set (3). A second clutch (10) is provided which connects an input shaft (5) of an automatic transmission (7) to the output shaft (4) so as to move the vehicle forward, and which connects the input shaft (5) to the motor/generator (6) so as to move the vehicle rearward. The second clutch (10) preferably comprises a dog clutch. When the vehicle commences forward motion, the torque of the motor/generator which is input to the automatic transmission (7) can be increased since the planetary gear set (3) decreases the rotation speed of the motor/generator (6) and transmits it to the output shaft (4).
