Abstract:
A paper tray supporting structure includes a rotating shaft connecting each of lateral portions of a paper tray and a paper tray holding portion, a guide groove provided at the paper tray holding portion and formed to have an approximately circular arc shape whose center is at the center of the rotating shaft, a pair of arms projecting from the lateral portions of the paper tray, respectively, approximately in parallel to a direction of a normal to a plane of the paper tray for carrying paper thereon, and a mating protrusion projecting from a tip of each of the arms toward the guide groove and pressing a bottom of the guide groove and sliding thereon as the paper tray turns. At the bottom of the guide groove are provided a first convex portion and a second convex portion to mate with the mating protrusion to place the paper tray in a retracted position and a released position, respectively. When the paper tray is turned between the retracted position and the released position, appropriate frictional force can be applied.

Where power components are fixed on a heat sink 1 inclusive of a heat sink base 1b and cooling fins 1a provided on the heat sink base 1b, one 1c of the cooling fins, which is made thicker, is arranged upright on the heat sink base 1b. And a high heat-generating power component 3 is fixed to the heat sink base 1b and middle heat-generating power components 5, 6 are fixed to the cooling fin 1c.
Abstract:
Bearings and oil flow holes are formed on walls between cylinders of a cylinder block. Journals of a crank shaft are supported rotatably by the bearings and a bearing cap. The bearing cap has pairs of arms and a pair of beams which link the arms together. The arms face the under surfaces of the walls. The arms have vertical walls formed thereon. These vertical walls are formed on both sides of area right under the outlet of the oil flow hole along the top surface of the arm. An oil flowing through the outlet of the oil flow hole flows down along the top surface of the arm and the vertical walls and into an oil pan.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a circuit constitution of a display apparatus comprising a digital memory (DM) cell for each pixel. The DM cell is composed of one inverter circuit, and a DM switching circuit for controlling an electrical conduction between a pixel electrode and the DM cell is provided. During a normal displaying period, the DM cell and the pixel electrode are not electrically conducted by the DM switching circuit, and a full-color image displaying is performed by dynamic image data supplied to a signal line. During a still image displaying, the DM cell and the pixel electrode are electrically conducted by the DM switching circuit, and a multi-color image displaying is performed by still image data retained in the DM cell.
Abstract:
An improved muscle strengthening apparatus is disclosed which causes “eccentric contraction” of an antagonist muscle of a limb through electrical stimulation so as to apply so-called “closed-kinetic-chain exercises” for the muscles involved to thereby increase the strength thereof. Flexing or extending motion of a knee joint is sensed by a sensor to indicate contraction of the agonist muscle. Upon contraction of the agonist muscle, electrodes placed over the antagonist muscle are energized to cause the eccentric contraction thereof. The invention provides a portable home gymnasium in that it is relatively small, light-weight, cost effective and easy to transport and also relatively simple in construction.
Abstract:
A serial transmission control function for controlling serial transmission by means of only two transmission data and reception data signal lines is provided to the MPU 6 in the control section 4 of the semiconductor disk unit 1 so that the MPU 6 performs both general control and serial transmission control, whereby the size of the control substrate can be reduced and the control function can be improved.
Abstract:
A flexible joint for an automobile exhaust system includes a flexible bellows for sealing the communication between the engine and the tail pipe with first and second flanges fixed to the respective members and interconnected by coupling shafts that are fixed at one end to one of the flanges and passed loosely through the other flange whereby compression springs that surround the coupling shafts serve together with the bellows to provide support capable of accommodating relative axial and angular deflections between the members. One of the flanges is so configured and disposed with respect to the bellows as to limit the amount of angular deflection imposed on the bellows. Damping sleeves composed of compressed wire mesh material operate to dampen vibrations imposed on the joint.
Abstract:
While maintaining a shaft in a fixed state, an outer ring is rotated. Vibrations of the shaft are detected by a first vibration pickup and a second vibration pickup. Detection signals of both the vibration pickups are delivered to a frequency converter via amplifier, respectively. The frequency converter determines, by Fourier transformation, the rotation frequency of the outer ring, the revolution frequency of balls and the resonance frequency of the double-row ball bearing. The first computing device then calculates the contact angle and bearing rigidity, and the second computing device calculates the preload.
