摘要： Provided is an optical relay system (10) which is capable of suppressing wasteful power consumption of an entire system to a low level. The optical relay system (10) includes a plurality of relay devices (30) and a network control device (20). The network control device (20) causes an optical signal to be regenerated by a regenerative repeater (35) within the relay device (30) existing at an upstream of the relay device (30) reporting that the optical signal has deteriorated by a degree exceeding a predetermined level. Further, the network control device (20) causes the regenerative repeater (35) to stop regenerating the signal in a case where deterioration of the signal remains within an allowable range even when the regenerative repeater (35) stops regenerating the signal.

摘要： An image scanning device includes a first scanner scanning a top side of a transported document at a first scanning position to obtain a first scanned image, a second scanner scanning the back side of the transported document at a second scanning position to obtain a second scanned image, a document feeder transporting a document at the second scanning position at a speed differing from the transportation speed at the first scanning position, and a controller controlling the image scanning device. The controller sets, as a scanning form of a document, either one-side scanning of scanning one side of a document through one transportation, or dual-side scanning of scanning both sides of a document through one transportation. The controller also obtains a set magnification. The controller determines the transportation speed by the document feeder such that, when one-side scanning is set, the scanning magnification in a first direction corresponding to the document transportation direction at the first scanned image attains the set magnification, and when dual-side scanning is set, the scanning magnification in the first direction at the second scanned image attains the set magnification.

The locking mechanism consists of a projecting portions 74 formed in a predetermined range of the cylindrical walls 26a, 26c made integrally with a swing-arm 4 and a hook 8b that extends from the operating button along a portion of the cylindrical walls. The aforementioned predetermined range prescribed for the projecting portions is the range in which the hook 8b interferes with the projecting portions when the swing-arm 4 is turned relative to the lighter body 2 by an angle which is below a predetermined value so that if the operating button 8 is depressed when the swing-arm 4 is turned relative to the lighter body 2 by an angle which is below a predetermined value, the hook 8b will interfere with the projecting portion 74 and the depression of the button will be prevented.
