摘要: A hub-spoke patient information service in which a patient's data can be obtained from a network of independent data sources through a centralized service. The hub of the service stores patient identification information and the spokes store the patient's clinical data. In a preferred embodiment, the spokes are independent sources (e.g. each spoke is generally unrelated to other spokes) and include hospitals, doctor offices, clinics, insurance companies, or other entities that store or track clinical data. Preferably, the data sources use a first authentication to properly identify or authentic the service. Once access is granted, the spoke sources are queried for the patient's data. In response, each data source provides the type of patient data available from the source. The user is shown the types of data available without generally showing the actual data. The user can then select the specific patient data to retrieve from the spoke sources.

The head assembly includes a lid portion coupled to a fixed base portion and moveable between open and closed positions; a lock coupled to the lid portion and slideable between locked and unlocked positions; a lever with a first end connected to the lock, an axis point connected to the lid portion, and a second end; and a cover movably coupled to the lid portion and abutting the second end of the lever, such that pressure on the cover rotates the lid portion to the closed position, and rotates the lever so as to slide the lock into the locked position.

摘要: Data is combined from multiple independent data stores, and is then queried using a data correlation engine. Contemplated engines preferably keep track of previously run correlations, and then makes those correlations available to clinicians for their own use. For example, a preferred system might provide a listing of correlations run by other clinicians in a particular medical specialty, or a particular community, whether geographic or otherwise. In another example, a preferred system might provide a listing of correlations sorted by popularity, so that the most frequently accessed correlations appear near the top of the list. In any case a clinician could simply view the list, and check off which correlations he/she would like to have run for his/her practice, or practice community.

摘要: A beverage dispensing apparatus for extracting beverage from a cartridge includes a slide assembly including a cartridge holder for receiving the cartridge. The slide assembly is used for moving the cartridge holder from a loading position to a loaded position. An injection assembly is coupled to the slide assembly, and includes an injector movable relative to the slide assembly. The injector is movable into and out of an injection position, for piercing the cartridge to inject a liquid into the cartridge. A driving assembly is coupled to the injection assembly for moving the injection assembly into and out of the injection position. An extraction mechanism cooperates with the cartridge holder and includes an extractor that is movable between an extraction position for piercing the cartridge and extracting the beverage, and a non-use position.

摘要: A dual-channel RF power delivery system for applying RF energy to dual electrodes of an RF ablation device with independent control of the power level, frequency, phase, and time duration of the RF energy applied to each electrode to more accurately control the ablation of a target tissue. The power delivery system supplies a first controlled RF signal having a first power level, frequency, phase, and time duration to the electrode of a first flexible stylet and a second controlled RF signal having a second power level frequency, phase, and time duration to the electrode of a second flexible stylet. The difference between the first and second power levels and the temperature of the tissue between the first and second stylers are monitored to control the ablation of the target tissue. The supply of the first RF signal is terminated when the monitored temperature of the first stylet exceeds a first predetermined value and the supply of the second RF signal is terminated when the monitored temperature of the second stylet exceeds a second predetermined value. By adjusting the frequency and/or phase of the first and second RF signals, the relative amounts of bipolar and monopolar ablation can be adjusted for accurate control of the lesion volume. The lesion volume can also be controlled by varying the deployment length of the electrodes.
