The proximal portion has a diameter greater than the distal portion. The proximal portion has a first end portion engaged to at least a portion of the outer shaft at a first engagement site. At least a portion of the proximal waist is engaged to the proximal portion of the transition shaft at a second engagement site. At least a portion of the end region of the inner shaft is engaged to the distal portion of the transition shaft at a third engagement site. The distal portion extends through the balloon wherein at least a portion of the distal waist of the balloon is engaged to the distal portion of the transition shaft at a forth engagement site.

摘要: A memory system comprising an expansion buffer and a memory expansion channel for connecting a large array of memory devices, such as Direct RDRAMs, to a memory controller. The memory devices are partitioned into subsets of memory devices so that each subset is connected to a unique memory channel for sending and receiving data. The expansion buffer and memory expansion channel provide communication with the memory devices via control packets on the expansion bus, where each control packet has a channel identification field to store a channel identifier; and via request packets on the expansion bus, where each request packet is associated with a control packet. The expansion buffer routes a request packet to a unique channel based upon the channel identifier stored in the associated control packet.

摘要: A memory system includes an interconnect structure with a high speed channel and a low speed channel. A memory device with interface circuitry is coupled to the interconnect structure. The interface circuitry includes a high power interface for coupling to the high speed channel and a low power interface for coupling to the low speed channel. The memory device is operative in a low power mode and a high power mode. A memory controller is coupled to the high speed channel and the low speed channel of the interconnect structure. The memory controller is configured to transmit control information over the low speed channel to set the power mode of the memory device. The memory device is operative in a low power mode during which high power receiver circuits are turned off. The memory device is also operative in a nap mode during which an internal clock compensation circuit is left on to preserve phase information. The memory system may include multiple memory devices coupled to a daisy chained lead of the interconnect structure. The memory controller may be configured to apply control information to the interconnect structure as an encoded device identification word. The memory devices may each include a decoder for interpreting the encoded device identification word. The memory controller may be configured to apply a memory device selection signal to the interconnect structure to selectively enable the memory devices.

摘要: A catheter delivered device to close a septal defect, the device comprising a cylindrical shaft of metal or polymeric material with concentric parallel cuts through the wall of the device which create flattened support struts. The center of the support struts move radially away from the axis in a hinge like fashion in response to the movement of the device's proximal and distal ends toward the center of the device. This movement is reversibly effected through mechanical means. The device can be coated with growth factors, mitogenic factors or other determinants which can improve tissue growth such that tissue ingrowth can occur over a period of time. The catheter itself may be an ultrasonic imaging catheter.

摘要: The present invention provides a method and apparatus in a memory controller coupled between a system bus and memory for independently supporting one of a Synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) and an Asynchronous DRAM (ADRAM) memory type via common signal pins. According to the preferred embodiment, the memory controller comprises memory control logic for generating both SDRAM and ADRAM memory interface signals and multiplexing means for selecting as output onto common signal pins either set of interface signals depending upon a memory type setting programmed within a configuration register. The memory control logic comprises at least a request processor in addition to two memory state machines, one for SDRAM and the other for ADRAM memory operations. When a system bus request is received by the request processor, it is assigned to a request state machine which interacts with both the SDRAM state machine and the ADRAM state machine to generate two sets of memory interface signals in addition to two sets of internal control signals. The sets of signals are input to a multiplexor provided for each type of control signals (i.e., memory interface and internal control), which multiplexors are controlled by the memory type select signal output from the configuration register. Based on the memory type setting programmed into the configuration registers, the appropriate sets of memory interface and internal control signals (i.e., either SDRAM or ADRAM) are selected for output to the memory array and to other units of the memory controller, respectively.
