A storage system cyclically stores an image information data, the image information data cyclically being each of at least two types of image information data, respectively corresponding to the thermal heads. A selector system cyclically and correspondingly selects which thermal head should be driven in accordance with the cyclical storage of the types of image information data in the storage system, such that the electric resistance elements of the thermal head, selected by the selector system, are selectively and electrically energized in accordance with a corresponding type of image information data cyclically stored in the storage system.

摘要: Disclosed is a focusing system for a scanner. The focusing system utilizes an imaging lens and a line image sensor of the scanner. The focusing system is further provided with a lens drive system, a contrast data detecting system that detects a contrast data representing brightness gradient with respect to a pixel located in a predetermined area on said line image sensor. Further, a lens position detecting system is provided. The lens position detecting system detects, among all lens positions, a position at which a brightness gradient of a certain pixel is greatest. Then, a controller controls the lens drive system to locate the lens to the detected lens position.

摘要: A scanner system is provided with a scanner provided with an image sensor, and a sheet feed adapter detachably coupled to the scanner. A predetermined surface of the sheet feed adapter faces the image sensor when the sheet feed adapter is coupled to the scanner. The scanner is operable in a hand scan mode when the sheet feed adapter is detached from the scanner, and in a sheet through mode when the sheet feed adapter is coupled to the scanner. In the sheet through mode, an original to be scanned is automatically fed between the predetermined surface and the image sensor. A predetermined image is formed on the predetermined surface of the sheet feed adapter, and the scanner comprises a judging system that judges that the sheet feed adapter is coupled to the scanner only when the image sensor scans the predetermined image on the predetermined surface of the sheet feed adapter.

摘要: In a thermal line head according to a first aspect of the invention, a monolithic electrical conductive pattern is formed on a base plate. The monolithic pattern includes plural sets of two electrodes, with a constriction extending between the two electrodes in each set. A cross-sectional area of the constrictions is smaller than that of the electrodes, whereby each of the constrictions serves as an electric resistance element. In an ink transfer printer, a frame, with an opening, is fixed on the thermal head such that the elements are included in the opening. A film sheet covers the frame, such that the opening is defined as an ink space, and plural pores in the sheet are arranged along an alignment of the elements, with at least one pore being allocated to each of the elements. When each of the elements is electrically energized to generate thermal energy, an ink drop appears on the film sheet from a pore corresponding to the localized generation of the thermal energy.

摘要: A control apparatus of a hybrid vehicle is provided capable of protecting the peripheral components of the motor from a voltage generated by regeneration during travelling the vehicle. When the motor control device 5 detects failures of the motor system such as current sensors 13, 15, and 17, voltage sensors 14, and 16, and a failure of the motor 2 (breakage of the winding), the motor control device 5 stops the motor control by turning off the on-state main contactor and by electrically disconnecting the connection between the power drive unit 7 and the battery 3. At the same time, the motor control device 5 outputs a signal about the failure of the motor system to the engine control device 4. When the failure is detected by the motor control device 5 and when the main contactor 11 is in the off state, the engine control device 4 controls the engine such that the engine rotation speed is maintained below 5000 rpm.

摘要: An ink transfer printer has an electrically-insulated base plate. An array of electric heater elements, aligned with each other, is provided on a surface of the base plate, the heater elements being selectively and electrically energized in accordance with a series of digital image-pixel signals. A frame member, having an opening, is securely provided on the base plate such that the array of elements is encompassed by the opening of the frame member. A sheet of film covers the frame member such that the opening of the frame member is defined as an ink space fillable with ink, and the film sheet has a plurality of fine pores arranged along the array, with at least one of the plurality of fine pores being allocated to each of the heater elements. A heat dissipating conductor is formed of a thermal conductive material, and is associated with the film sheet such that thermal energy, locally generated by an electrical energization of at least one of the electric heater elements, is promptly dissipated.
