摘要: Recording paper, at least one of opposite surface portions contains a mixture of hydrophilic fibers and hydrophobic fiber as main raw material. In addition, recording paper having a double-layer structure, in which a first layer 31 contains a mixture of hydrophilic fibers and hydrophobic fibers as main raw material, and a second layer 32 is a layer different from the first layer. The recording paper may have three or more layers including the first layer. Recording is performed by using such recording paper.

摘要: An image forming apparatus is disclosed which comprises a toner-image holding unit for holding a toner image, a recording medium, transfer-fixing means for bringing the recording medium into contact with the toner image on the toner-image holding unit and heating the toner image so as to transfer and fix the toner image onto the recording medium,toner-image cooling means for cooling the toner image transferred and fixed onto the recording medium so as to suppress the flowing of the toner image, and peeling means for peeling the recording medium off the toner-image holding unit.

摘要: An ink jet recording paper having a coating layer applied in a low coating amount which is less apt to occur mixed color bleeding and unevenness in an image density of an ink, and which is excellent in image quality and strength of the coating layer. The ink jet recording paper comprises (a) a base paper having an apparent density of from 0.80 to 0.90 g/cm.sup.3, an air permeability of from 5 to 15 seconds and a formation index of not less than 20; and (b) a coating layer provided on at least one surface of the base paper, the coating layer having a dried coverage of from 4 to 10 g/m.sup.2 and mainly comprising (1) a white pigment having a BET specific surface area of from not less than 250 m.sup.2 /g to less than 400 m.sup.2 /g and (2) an aqueous adhesive.

摘要: A method of forming a semiconductor device is disclosed. A dielectric layer having a opening therein is formed on a semiconductor substrate. An inner surface of the opening is treated by plasma. A barrier metal layer is formed on the plasma-treated inner surface of the opening. A seed layer is formed on the barrier metal layer. A metal bulk layer is formed on the seed layer. High quality semiconductor devices can be fabricated by using these methods, which may stably fill the opening formed in the dielectric layer.

摘要: A baggage management gate including an exciting coil, a detecting coil and signal processing unit. The exciting coil forms an alternating magnetic field in a passage to an area from which manages objects to be carried in or carried out. The detecting coil detects a variation in the alternating magnetic field when magnetization of a magnetic material showing a large Barkhausen effect is reversed in the alternating magnetic field. The signal processing unit determines as to whether the magnetization reversal occurs in the alternating magnetic field due to the large Barkhausen effect or not, based on a signal detected by the detecting coil. The signal processing unit includes amplifier that amplifies the signal detected by the detecting coil with plural different amplification factors and output the amplified signals with each of the plural different amplification factors.
