摘要: A polytrimethylene terephthalate resin comprising 60 to 100 mole % of (a) trimethylene terephthalate recurring units, and 0 to 40 mole % of (b) at least one monomer unit obtained from a comonomer copolymerizable with at least one of the monomers used for forming the recurring units, the total molar amount of (a) monomer units and (b) monomer units being 100 mole %, and the resin having the following characteristics (A) to (D): (A) an intrinsic viscosity [η] of from 0.6 to 4 dl/g; (B) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of from 2 to 2.7; (C) a cyclic dimer content of not greater than 2% by weight; and (D) a psychometric lightness L-value of from 70 to 100 and a psychometric chroma b*-value of from −5 to 25.

摘要: A method for producing high purity glycolic acid crystals, which comprises the steps of: (1) providing an aqueous glycolic acid solution (A) which has (a) a water content of from 5 to 20% by weight, (b) a calculated monomeric glycolic acid weight ratio (ratio of the total weight of the monomeric glycolic acid and the component monomeric glycolic acid of the glycolic acid condensation product to the weight of the aqueous glycolic acid solution (A)) of from 0.60 to 1.00 and (c) a monomeric glycolic acid content of from 20 to 57% by weight; (2) depositing glycolic acid crystals from the solution (A); and (3) separating the deposited glycolic acid crystals from the solution (A).

摘要: Electrophotographic transfer paper having a coating layer provided on at least one surface of base paper and pigments and adhesive agents as main components, wherein resistivity (VR) and surface resistivity (SV) of electrophotographic transfer paper after the humidity has adjusted to 10.degree. C., 30% RH for 12 hours satisfy the expression Log(VR/SR).ltoreq.1.5. Using such electrophotographic transfer paper, occurrence of discharge mark and occurrence of density irregularity in a high-density image region are prevented to thereby make it possible to provide electrophotographic transfer paper excellent in fixing characteristic, nonshowthrough, partial deletion and generation of paper dust.

摘要: A method for processing a silver halide photosensitive material comprises the steps of developing an exposed silver halide photosensitive material and treating it with a bath having a fixing function containing an N-oxide compound having a mercapto group in the molecule. When the bath having a fixing function is used, a stable fixing power and excellent desilverization effect can be obtained by processing a color photosensitive material with only a small amount of replenisher.

摘要: A film wrapping apparatus for wrapping articles and a method of wrapping articles in a heat-sealable thermoplastic packaging film. The apparatus has a film-hauling device in form of a conveyer having travelling clamping runs of upper and lower belts for clamping a free marginal selvage or edge part of a folded strip of packaging film having the parts thereof superposed. An infeed device positions articles successively at a position in which the superposed parts of successive lengths of the folded film are hauled over and under the articles respectively and envelope the articles as the successive lengths of the folded film are advanced intermittently by the film-hauling device from a web. The folded film successive lengths move longitudinally through a heat-sealing device having heat sealing jaws that have an L-shaped heat sealing element for sealing leading and trailing ends of the successive lengths of folded film as well as the open sides of each length to form individual packages containing therein respective packaged articles. The heat-sealing device jaws and the film-hauling device can be adjusted as to their height to handle different height articles being packaged. The heat-sealing device is raised and lowered manually in accordance with the level of travel of the advancing film and the height of the articles being packaged.

摘要: Electrophotographic transfer paper comprising base paper having provided on at least one side thereof a coating layer mainly comprising a pigment and a binder at a solids content of 2 to 12 g/m2, which has an Oken's smoothness of 60 to 300 seconds on each side thereof, an air permeability of 10 to 90 seconds, and a coefficient of paper-to-paper friction of 0.5 to 0.9 at 28° C. and 85% RH. The transfer paper has excellent running properties on a digital full-color copying machine or printer of indirect dry electrophotographic system irrespective of the environment of use, especially in a high humidity environment, while proving a satisfactory image.
