Abstract: Embodiments described herein may provide for the return (e.g., reconnection) of a User Equipment (“UE”) to a first radio access network (“RAN”) to which the UE was connected, after the UE has been redirected to a second RAN based on the occurrence of an event. The event may include a voice call placed by or to the UE. The return of the UE to the first RAN may occur based on the occurrence of another event, such as the voice call being terminated.

Abstract: A system described herein may receive a request for a User Equipment (“UE”) to access a radio access network (“RAN”), which may implement a Closed Subscriber Group (“CSG”) technique. The request may be a handover request from a different RAN, which may implement a different radio access technology (“RAT”). The system may determine that an access policy for the particular RAN does not indicate that the UE is authorized to access the RAN. The system may output a request to the RAN, including an indication that the access policy for the RAN does not indicate that the UE is authorized to access the RAN. The system may receive a response to the second request. The response may include an indication of whether the UE is allowed to access the RAN, as determined by the RAN based on one or more conditions in addition to an identifier of the UE.

Abstract: A device receives a call invitation message with a Session Description Protocol (SDP) offer for establishing a call between a calling party and a called party and obtains a set of network fallback rules associated with the called party. The device determines, based on the set of network fallback rules, whether to reject the call and avoid network fallback from a first wireless network to a second wireless network. The device sends, based on the determination, a call denial message without an SDP answer, to reject the call and avoid the network fallback.

Abstract: A network device receives a first message that includes an identifier (ID) of a first User Plane Function (UPF), serving a first device, in a wireless network, where the first message invites a second device to engage in a session with the first device and where the first UPF supports packet routing and forwarding within the wireless network. The network device extracts the ID of the first UPF from the first message and determines a closest media resource function (MRF) to the first UPF, where the MRF processes and routes media streams between devices. The network device assigns the determined MRF as an anchor, in a network path between the first device and the second device, for processing and routing of media streamed between the first device and the second device.

The processor may be further configured to obtain a mapping between a plurality of applications associated with the enterprise and a plurality of Quality of Service (QoS) classes; identify an application, of the plurality of applications, for a communication session associated with the UE device; select a QoS class, from the plurality of QoS classes based on the identified application and the obtained mapping; and process messages associated with the communication session based on the selected QoS class.
