Abstract:
A long member 2 is covered with one-side coat member 3 and an other-side coat member 4. The one-side coat member 3 is fixed to the long member 2 by a one-side fixing member 15. The other-side coat member 4 is fixed to the long member by an other-side fixing member 20. The inner peripheral face of the one-side fixing member 15 forms a tapered inner face part for introducing body fluid between the one-side coat member 3 and the long member 2. An insertion guiding member 5 is mounted to the tip end part in an insertion direction of the long member 2. A middle part in the insertion direction of the insertion guiding member 5 has a diameter larger than the base end part thereof.
Abstract:
When a vehicle passes through an entrance IC entering a toll road, a present position of the vehicle changes discontinuously because of increased detection error. Continuity is lost between a designated travel road and a history of past designated travel roads. Designation of a correct entrance IC fails. Even in such a case, the correct entrance IC is designated based on the travel road designated before the continuity is lost. A toll is calculated based on the designated entrance IC and an IC, which the vehicle approaches and via which the vehicle is assumed to exit the toll road. If a guide route is designated when passing through an entrance IC, a correct entrance IC is appropriately designated from the travel road and the guide route.
Abstract:
An inkjet printer includes inkjet heads, pumps, a drive source, a derive shaft, power transmission mechanisms, and a selection unit. The pumps supply ink to the inkjet heads to recover an ink ejection condition of the inkjet heads. The drive source rotates the drive shaft forward or backward. The power transmission mechanisms are disposed between the drive shaft and the pumps, respectively, and switch between a state where a forward rotation force of the drive shaft is transmitted to each pump to bring each pump in a operatable condition and a state where the forward rotation force of the drive shaft is not transmitted to each pump. In conjunction with reverse rotation of the drive shaft, the selection unit selects at least one of the power transmission mechanisms to be brought into a state where the selected power transmission mechanism transmits the forward rotation force of the drive shaft.
Abstract:
A recording and reproducing apparatus is provided which can easily record and reproduce recorded content information that is displayable irrespective of the type of a reproducing apparatus, which can record and display the recorded content information by detecting it also from data other than EPG data, and which can cope with thumbnail display. A title image 5 is generated with reference to EPG data 3 and other data 4 except for the EPG data, and the generated title image 5 is recorded for a fixed duration of time so that it precedes or follows video/audio data 1 to be recorded. In the title image 5, a title name, date and time of recording, input source, category, recording duration, recording mode, and recording user information are displayed, and the title image 5 can be combined with a background image 8. Functions of generating and displaying thumbnail images can additionally be provided.
Abstract:
The invention provides an enzymatic unhairing agent for use in an unhairing step in tanning for producing leather comprising an alkaline protease as an active component; a treatment solution comprising a pH-adjusting agent and the enzymatic unhairing agent; a method for enzymatic unhairing treatment in tanning for producing leather comprising contacting the treatment solution with a raw hide or skin; and a leather thus produced. According to the invention, it is attained markedly reduction of the pollution load in the unhairing waste water and leather and recovered hairs both of good quality can be obtained.
Abstract:
A tapered roller bearing comprises inner and outer and outer rings having raceways, a large flange surface and a small flange surface, tapered rollers between the raceways and each having large and small end faces at the ends, and a retainer for the tapered rollers. The average roughness of the large end faces and the large flange surface is 0.14 &mgr;m Ra or less. The radius of curvature of the large end faces is 75 to 85% of the roller reference radius, and the central angle of the contact positions between the tapered rollers and the large flange surface is {fraction (1/15)} to {fraction (1/10)} of the roller angle. The center of the contact surface between the tapered rollers and the raceways is offset toward the large end faces from the center of the rolling surfaces of the tapered rollers by 10% or less of the effective length of the tapered rollers.
Abstract:
In an engine having two or more cylinder groups and a common exhaust passage with which exhaust passages individually connected to the respective cylinder groups are merged, the exhaust gases in the respective individual exhaust passage mix each other in the common exhaust passage before flowing into catalytic converter disposed in the common exhaust gas passage, therefore, when the air-fuel ratios of the respective cylinder groups are individually controlled, the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas in the common exhaust passage does not correspond to air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas in any of the individual exhaust passages, and this makes it difficult to detect the deterioration of the catalyst based on the output of the upstream O.sub.2 sensor disposed in the individual exhaust passage and the downstream O.sub.2 sensor disposed in the common exhaust passage. In the present invention, the control circuit estimates the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas after mixed by averaging the outputs of the upstream air-fuel ratio sensors disposed in the respective individual exhaust passages, and detects the catalyst deterioration using the average output of the upstream air-fuel ratio sensor and the output of the downstream O.sub.2 sensor.
Abstract:
A device for determining a deterioration of a catalytic converter for an engine equipped with a catalytic converter disposed in the exhaust passage and upstream and downstream air-fuel ratio sensors disposed in the exhaust passage upstream and downstream of the catalytic converter, respectively, wherein the device calculates the lengths of the output response curves of the upstream and downstream air-fuel ratio sensors LVOM and LVOS, respectively, and the areas surrounded by the output response curves and a reference voltage line of the upstream and downstream air-fuel ratio sensors AVOM and AVOS, respectively, the device determining whether or not the catalyst is deteriorated in accordance with the relationship between the ratio LVOS/LVOM and the ratio AVOS/AVOM.
