Abstract:
To improve accuracy of determining whether route elements stored as a history are route elements familiar to the user, a navigation apparatus 100 includes: a passage history storage unit 9a that stores a history of route elements passed in the past; a memory cost determination unit 84 that determines memory costs indicative of how less likely a user still has in mind the route elements stored in the passage history storage unit 9a based on the history stored in the passage history storage unit 9a; a route search unit 85 that searches for a route leading to a destination by combining the route elements to minimize a route cost of the entire route including the memory costs determined by the memory cost determination unit 84; and a navigation unit 86 that performs a route guide in accordance with the route searched by the route search unit 85.

Abstract:
In a navigation apparatus, HOV information related to a high-occupancy vehicle lane or carpool lane is added into node data of a node as a part of the node data in map data. The HOV information of all nodes in a highway in a guide route is acquired from the map data to calculate the total number of transfer permit points. When it is determined that a guide for HOV is possible based on the calculated total number of transfer permit points, and then it is determined that an entry distance from the present position to a nearest transfer permit point is in a predetermined range suitable for an entrance guide into the carpool lane, the entry distance is determined to be suitable for the entrance guide into the carpool lane. Thereby the entrance guide into the carpool lane is provided.
Abstract:
An axle bearing device includes an inner ring fixed to an axle of a railway vehicle, an outer ring fixed to a journal box of the railway vehicle, and double row tapered rollers arranged between raceway surfaces of the inner ring and raceway surfaces of the outer ring. An opening portion between the inner ring and the outer ring is sealed by a labyrinth seal including at least one axial labyrinth extending in an axial direction and at least one radial labyrinth extending in a radial direction. At least one of the at least one axial labyrinth and the at least one radial labyrinth which form the labyrinth seal is formed between an outer-ring-side sealing member mounted to the outer ring and the inner ring or between the outer-ring-side sealing member mounted to the outer ring and an inner-ring-side sealing member mounted to the inner ring.
Abstract:
A branching filter includes a longitudinally-coupled-resonator-type elastic wave filter having a balanced-unbalanced transformation function and the branching filter has excellent balance characteristics and a small size. The branching filter includes a ladder elastic wave filter chip and a longitudinally-coupled-resonator-type elastic wave filter chip. An antenna back-surface electrode and an antenna electrode pad are connected to each other via a first wiring provided in a wiring substrate. The antenna electrode pad and a longitudinally-coupled-resonator-type elastic wave filter are connected to each other via a second wiring provided on a piezoelectric substrate. The second wiring extends in a first direction and a first functional electrode and a second functional electrode provided on the piezoelectric substrate are axisymmetrically arranged with respect to each other about a central axis that extends in the first direction of the second wiring.

Abstract:
A pump includes a case, a rotor, and a partition member. The case has a hollow inside defined by an inner wall surface thereof and includes a suction inlet through which fluid is sucked in the hollow and an exhaust outlet through which the fluid is ejected from the hollow. The rotor is rotatable in the hollow. The partition member is supported with respect to the rotor in the direction across the rotor such that two ends make constant contact with the inner wall surface defining the hollow, and is rotatable with the rotor. When the rotor is rotated, the partition member slides in the direction across the rotor and expands and shrinks in the same direction, thereby the two ends of the partition member make constant contact with the inner wall surface of the case. Accordingly, the fluid is sucked through the suction inlet in the hollow and the sucked fluid is ejected through the exhaust outlet from the hollow.
Abstract:
It is determined whether a retrieved route includes a predetermined route section. In the predetermined route section, a subject vehicle is guided to enter a certain road having multiple lanes via a lane on one side of the certain road. The subject vehicle is then guided to change lanes to the lane on the opposite side to exit from the certain road to another road. When the predetermined route section is included, a travel estimation cost for the travel in the predetermined route section is computed based on the travel distance and the number of lanes with respect to the certain road. Then, an estimation cost for the retrieved route is computed by considering the travel estimation cost for the travel on the predetermined route section. Thus, the difficulty in changing lanes in the multiple lane road can be considered when an optimal route is selected.
Abstract:
A method of producing hollow alumina particles in which the grain size of hollow alumina particles is controlled and in which a high formation ratio of hollow particles is obtained while suppressing the formation of solid particles. The method includes irradiating supersonic waves to an aqueous solution containing aluminum nitrate or aluminum acetate, and a surfactant or an organic acid to generate micro-liquid droplets in an atomized state, introducing only minute liquid droplets having a certain grain size or less, which have been classified by an air stream, into a furnace and burning them in air.
