Abstract:
Generally, this disclosure provides methods and systems for real-time video communication with three dimensional perception image rendering through generated parallax effects based on identification, segmentation and tracking of foreground and background layers of an image. The system may include an image segmentation module configured to segment a current local video frame into a local foreground layer and a local background layer and to generate a local foreground mask based on an estimated boundary between the local foreground layer and the local background layer; a face tracking module configured to track a position of a local user's face; a background layer estimation module configured to estimate a remote background layer; and an image rendering module configured to render a 3D perception image based on the estimated remote background layer, the current remote video frame and the remote foreground mask.
Abstract:
Systems, devices and methods are described including determining a goal for collaborative media gathering, automatically generating a plurality of tasks specifying the capture of media associated with the goal, storing the tasks, and providing the tasks to a plurality of users. The goal may be automatically determined in response to real-time social media analysis.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a device for holding disk-shaped articles and a method thereof. The device comprises a rotatable chuck body and at least two groups of clamping elements arranged at the edge of the chuck body. Each of the clamping elements is mounted to a pivot with the chuck body respectively by means of the rotation of the clamping element with respect to the chuck body. A radial compression spring is connected between the bottom of the clamping element and the chuck body to provide a clamping force for the clamping element. The clamping elements in the same group are provided with magnets with the same polarity, while the clamping elements in different groups are provided with magnets with the opposite polarity. Two sets of electromagnets are arranged on the chuck body and spaced apart evenly.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for scheduling a communication link, wherein the communication link is adapted for connecting two network elements, wherein a first carrier and a second carrier are assigned to the communication link, wherein each carrier includes frames divided into timeslots, and a predefined number of timeslots is allocated for downlink communication and a predefined number of timeslots is allocated for uplink communication. The method includes scheduling the communication link for offsetting the start of the frames of the first carrier in respect to the start of the frames of the second carrier. Also provided are a network element adapted for carrying out the method and a system including the network element.

Abstract:
A method of performing a pre-route repeater insertion methodology for at least part of a circuit design may include: partitioning at least part of a circuit design into a plurality of tiles; determining at least one attribute of one or more individual tiles of the plurality of tiles; and determining a repeater solution based at least in part on the determined attributes of the one or more individual tiles. A computer implemented tool for performing a pre-route repeater insertion methodology for at least part of a circuit design may include: a module configured to partition at least part of a circuit design into a plurality of tiles; a module configured to determine at least one attribute of one or more individual tiles of the plurality of tiles; and a module configured to determine a repeater solution based at least in part on the determined attributes of the one or more individual tiles.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for ontology-based classification of media content are provided. With the method and apparatus, initial confidence values of classifiers in a hierarchical classification structure are modified based on relationships between classifiers. A confidence value for a classifier is boosted by a boosting factor based on a correspondence between the confidence value and confidence values of ancestor classifiers in the hierarchical classification structure. A confidence value for a classifier is modified by a confusion factor based on a correspondence between the confidence value of the classifier and the confidence values of mutually exclusive classifiers in the hierarchical classification structure. In this way, a more accurate representation of the actual confidence that media content falls within the classification associated with the classifier is obtained. From this improved classification mechanism, indices for media content may be generated for use in accessing the media content at a later time.
Abstract:
The invention describes systems and methods of assessing risk using a computer. A computer-based system including an enrollment module, a data aggregation module, a risk assessment module, and a memory is provided for assessing risks. The enrollment receives, at a computer, personal information regarding at least one entity. The data aggregation module receives, at the computer, risk information regarding the entity according to the personal information from at least one data source. The risk assessment module converts the risk information to assessment information. The memory stores the personal information, the risk information, and/or the assessment information on the computer.
Abstract:
A number of virtual regionalization lines are laid out across a chip such that the virtual regionalization lines delineate a plurality of regions on the chip. One of the plurality of regions on the chip is designated as a master region and each of a remainder of the plurality of regions on the chip is designated as a duplicate region. A number of functional blocks are placed in the master region. Each of the functional blocks is replicated in each duplicate region by placing each functional block in each duplicate region so as to be symmetric with the corresponding functional block in the master region about the virtual regionalization lines. Wires are routed in the master region. The wires routed in the master region are replicated in each duplicate region so as to be symmetric about the virtual regionalization lines.
