摘要: A negative film carrier for driving a negative film in a longitudinal direction of the negative film to convey the film to a printing position, is provided with a bar code reading mechanism. In the mechanism a light emitting element on one for illuminating the bar code is disposed to face one side surface of the film, and a light receiving element is disposed to face the other side surface thereof. These elements are mutually separated when the film is inserted between them in the widthwise direction of the film at the printing position. At the time of film transporting condition these elements are linked together to unitedly move and follow the edge of the film so as to accurately coincide with the bar code.

摘要: A proportioning valve is interposed between a master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders and includes a housing within which are accommodated a piston with a valve head, an opposed valve seat thereby and a spring urging the piston to thereby remove the valve head from the valve seat. The valve head and the valve seat cooperate to open and close the fluid circuit between the master cylinder and the rear wheel cylinder to reduce the hydraulic pressure when the hydraulic pressure delivered from the master cylinder exceeds a set value. In order to supply hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder to the rear wheel cylinders when fluid leakage or the like occurs at the front wheel side, a sleeve enclosing the spring in the housing is brought into engagement with the piston to prevent engagement of the valve head and the valve seat.

摘要: A copying apparatus includes a sorter which is arranged to sort a plurality of copy paper sheets corresponding to a single original document, discharged from a main body of the copying apparatus, into a plurality of bins successively shifted to a paper discharge position by a shifting device. The copying apparatus includes a copy number preset key, a memory for memorizing a preset number of copies, a first counter for counting the number of copied paper sheets, a second counter for counting the number of discharged copy paper sheets, a device for stopping the copying operation when the counted value of the first counter agrees with the memorized preset number of copies, and a sort key for selecting a mode for sorting the copy paper sheets into the bins one sheet in each bin. An electrical circuit applies signals to the shifting device in order to change the moving direction of the bins when the counted value of the second counter agrees with the memorized preset number of copies in the sort mode.

摘要: An optical device in a variable magnification electrostatic copying apparatus includes a first reflecting mirror assembly mounted for reciprocal movement, a second reflecting mirror assembly mounted for reciprocal movement substantially parallel to the reciprocating direction of the first reflecting mirror assembly, and a speed-reduction interlocking mechanism for moving the second reflecting mirror assembly at a speed equal to one-half of the moving speed of the first reflecting mirror assembly, upon movement of the first reflecting mirror assembly. The optical device further includes a magnification setting mechanism for changing the relative position of the second reflecting mirror assembly with respect to the first reflecting mirror assembly according to a desired copying magnification. The magnification setting mechanism comprises a setting cam having a plurality of acting portions corresponding to a plurality of magnification values and a setting member adapted to be held by the setting cam at any one of a plurality of setting positions corresponding to the plurality of magnification values. The changing of the position of the setting member causes a change in the relative position of the second reflecting mirror assembly with respect to the first reflecting mirror assembly.

摘要: A pressure control valve assembly in a split brake system having two separate pressure lines comprises two valve pistons subjected to pressure from separate pressure sources so as to control the outlet pressure admitted to the respective rear wheel brakes. The valve assembly further comprises two movable members each in alignment with each of two valve pistons and subjected to the pressure of two pressure lines at each end thereof and two springs each interposed between a respective piston and movable member for normally urging the piston in the valve closing direction. The hydraulic failure of one of two pressure lines causes the movable member to move in the direction wherein no biasing force of the spring may be imparted to the valve piston.

摘要: A first bar code that is reproduced by linearly polarized red light (first read light) parallel to a short-side direction and a second bar code that is reproduced by linearly polarized green light (second read light) parallel to a long-side direction are recorded on a birefringence label. A probe is a reading device that reads the first and second bar codes from the birefringence label and includes first and second light sources and an imaging unit. The first light source emits the first read light to the birefringence label. The second light source emits the second read light to the birefringence label at a time different from that of the first read light. The imaging unit captures the birefringence label through a polarizing plate having a transmission axis aligned with the short-side direction of the birefringence label, and acquires reproduced images of the first and second bar codes.
